The school's pamphlet stated that it would allow children to wear "Malay, Chinese, Indian, Eurasian, Filipino traditional costumes or any traditional costumes" for the celebration.
The parent wrote: "Since when are Filipinos one of Singapore's 4 main races? I do not recall Filipino traditional costumes or food being part of Singaporean culture from 1960s to 2010. This is outrageous."
"Maids and domestic workers are foreign labour, not an official race of Singapore," He wrote.
