Treat this as an event. For some it will be a pantomime, others a study on captive politics and going thru the motions but overall it worth watching not to expect justice to be served in any measure but to see how the PAP treats its voters and this country.

What to expect
- PM speech will go straight for the sympathy card to bring in the gullible and naive from the word go. It will crafted along the lines of the dutiful eldest son who has done every thing possible to please his father and his siblings.
- why he recused himself
- He will also raise the spectre of governing the nation and the heavy burden it places on him
- He will preempt his role in the select committee but making it very clear that Teo Chee Hean and his cabinet colleagues drove this and he had already recused himself.
- He will also cover extensively how clean his government is and mention the prosecution of senior civil servants for corruption. And why he cannot afford to leave serious allegations unaddressed.
- leading questions from PAP MPs

What not to expect
- one serious allegation from the first joint statement from the siblings is the role of Ho Ching in instructing civil servants and her unfettered influence. He will speak about his dutiful wife but not her role as head of the Sovereign fund and her conduct. Note the govt and he has never addressed this allegation to date.
- he already raised the cancer sympathy card during nassim jade so I don't expect its re-use.
- and lastly a serious debate

What to watch for
- Chan Chun Sing cannot help himself when it comes parochial politics. This guy will pulling at the leash to get into the act of saving the party
- Opposition members in particular Sylvia, Low, Pritam and Leon - their general line will be to go for a CPIB investigation and going for a independent Board of Inquiry.
- watch for the MP that will be assigned to attack the opposition and my bet will be on Dominic Puthcheary as Shan is already tainted.
