Hi all,

First post here, I have been visiting Thailand every 3-4 months for few years, just decided to discover some new places and will give a try to KL next week.
The point is that I am totaly newb here and have some questions.
First, are all hotel's health/spa providing the famous "package" or is it just in some of them ? would it be a delicate or an embarrassed situation to enter a spa/massage and to request that kind of service if they do not provide it ?

Second point is about the accomodations, just browsing some hotels website and, according that I have no clue of the area here, I would go for a place called Sunway ressort in PJ (Pyramid tower is the hotel I spoted), at least the first 2-3 days, time to get some rest. Looks like it's not so far from KL. Is it any kind of interest to stay there, and any extra services in their massage ? Also about the place itself (PJ), is it a busy place or in the middle of nowhere ?

Last question is about the GROs in the KTVs. I understood that a KTV is like a disco/karaoke, and a GRO a kind of hostess, do all of them provide any kind of extra service, or is it not at all the idea ? I'm so used to the easy stuff in BKK, not sure of what I will find in KL :confused:

A few health centres/spas are strictly no hanky-panky. But most health centres/spas have it. :D

Yes. It can be a bit embarrassing but you won't be the first or the last asking this sort of questions. Anyway, check out this forum for places that are confirmed to have hanky-panky servicves and you won't go wrong.

About Sunway Pyramid Hotel, there is a HC there. Place is called Sunflower Health Spa. Also nearby is the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel which has another spa (I think related to Sunflower Health Spa). Check the forum for reports. For night entertainment there are nightspots around Sunway Pyramid and a couple of pubs and KTVs at Mentari Business Park (across the highway).

Sunway isn't very far from KL but the taxi fare isn't going to be cheap. As for PJ, it is a pretty big place with commercial and residential areas. Not exactly for tourists.

As for GROs in KTVs, some of them provide extras, some don't. You need to let the mamasan know your requirements. At some KTVs, you can get action in the room or the attached toilet. Other places, you might need to takeaway.

For HCs in KL, majority provide the special package. Most times the manager will ask you what kind of package you prefer. Just inquire straight away and you will get your answer. Most HCs in KL also provide "chiw keng" meaning you can get to view the girl before deciding on the package. For more detailed info, please try to spend some time reading up the various threads on some of the more popular HCs in KL.

As for the KTV scene, KL is different from BBK. The scene in BBK is confirmed much better. In fact, some KTV's in SG also much better than KL. However the main attraction for KL KTV's is that some of the more famous KTV's have very nice and payable Malay chicks. So if that is your scene, then the KTV's here will suit you. As mentioned above, if possible, spend some time to read the different threads and you might gather some valuable info.:cool:

Finally I booked 3 nights at the Sunway lagoon ressort, pyramid towers had no available rooms for the first night. It might not be the best choice for the nightlife, but at least it looks nice and a cool place to get some rest, which I really need after few hard months at work. Then once I'll know the scene a little bit better, I'll move probably in KL.

Regarding the massage parlor mentionned by dathinman (Sunflower health spa), I tried the forum search engine with no luck, I'll double check, but there is probably no previous report, I'll make my own idea and will post here.

Arrived at the Sunway Lagoon resort early in the evening, then browse some forums to establish the action plan I didn't have time to prepare sooner.
