Crazy Elephant Pub, Clarke Quay. V empty. Dunno if it's still in operation. There's one more small pub in Boat Quay which plays heavy metal music. Didn't take note of its name but I don't like their policy where if I ordered food which was more expensive than the beer drinkers ordered, I gotta sit away from the drinking area. The heavy metal music was being played from YouTube in the latter area. Tut, tut...

I think closest would be Wala Wala on Thursday/Saturday. Band Shirlyn and the Unexpected, good drummer and guitarists. They used to play a lot of metal/hard rock but recently also more pop rock due to requests.

Hey all. Chanced upon this thread and decided to share abit. The pub in holland v called wala wala plays some nice rock music on thursday and saturday nights. I must warn you that its abit of an expat place and the restaurant downstairs is usually full of them especially on weekends. But the pub upstairs where the band plays is usually quite alright. When I was schooling, my classmate's cousin played backwards Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin (both r not heavy metal) n (I think it was) KISS music. I could make out satanic messages.

Usually I'll go to Crazy Elephant or Wala Wala. Like what some of the guys said, the unexpected band plays quite heavy stuffs from 2nd sets onwards on Sat night.
