Life is full of ironies. Last time fans (incl many of us) used to criticise n condemn Lucas for his inept performances n likened him to jinxed players like Traore n Igor Biscan. But now they are applauding him n praying that he makes a quick return. Lucas is now rated a more important n productive player than the likes of the newly acquired Adam, Henderson & Downing. :D

Some seniors insisted that he was the BEST, so I could not dispute and said that he was the BEST loh,

He is improving under KD much more than Woy.
I wouldn't say better than Adams, hen or downing because they played in diff positions
Also how could you only listen to comments from Liverpool sarportter here compared to millions and millions of more sensible fans throughout the world and throughout millions Of Liverpool fans supporters' websites.

Alot of fans here in Singapore and Sbf (my goodness did I really mentioned this website) don't really like their comments to be rebutted or go against.

Bro P is right...as if they really played the game or know how this football business is being run ;)

Happy new year to you and all the reds fan here :)

Last time he was quite ordinary. He takes the ball and passes sideways. It didn't help that he played with Mascherano. Mascherano is a monster in tackling, tracking opponents and always running. Mascherano is also very versatile as he can be a right back as well as a centre-back (for Barcelona). Among the 4 central midfielders we had then, 3 are World-Class players (Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano). My thoughts then was... If Rafa plays Lucas, he might as well play a local lad like Jay Spearing. Same quality but Jay fulfils the local requirement.

Lucas now is way better than Lucas then. His work-rate increases a lot since he doesn't have a Mascherano to share defensive midfield duties with. He seems to pass forward better now. He is also way more experienced with the BPL. Applauding him now is definitely a non-issue.

If Lucas then and now can change so much, then the views of him from then and now should be viewed in the same light. I just hope Henderson now will be the Lucas now soon. We have a lot of young players who will get better with time. If we can afford Lucas so many seasons to blossom, will we be able to afford Carroll, Henderson and gang as much time to blossom?

Don't quite understand the criticism on Adam. He is the player with the most assist for the Liverpool team. I wonder who you guys think is the leading candidate for Player of the Season so far? Suarez? Adam will ranked top 3, I feel.

I do like Adams alot now and even during his days at BP.
Great crosser of the ball and good vision and the willingness to take on various shots to goal is something worth applauded.

1 problem tough..he seems to be the 1st choice corner kick taker...but...his crosses from corner damn sucks :D

Seems like there are many Adams' supporters here ... maybe he hasnt caught my eye yet .. my apologies if i offended any of u bros. :D

I feel Adams is quite ordinary so far. aint d quickest or most hardworking but of Dalglishs' buys so far, he's the best after Suarez. Ok, i will try n scrutinise Adams n appreciate him more! :)

Ok back to Lucas, glad to see his progress over the years ... this lad had certainly matured .. n luckily didnt end up in d same dumps Traore n Biscan landed! Good to see that he's not $$$ faced (at least how i perceive) n asked for big $$$ moves ... think he shd be able to command interest fr some of the mid table EPL , Italian n Spanish clubs. My only big fear, will he return a worse player after the long injury lay-off??? hope not!!!

Apologies? Aiyoh, this thread is for Liverpool fans to agree/disagree and discuss. Over the years, we had many interesting discussions and disagreement. It's good to read differing views. Discuss until there is a starting 11 with substitutes some more! :p Wonder where that picture is now...

I was looking at player stats in Soccernet. Adams created a lot of assist for us, I think he created the most assist. As for Suarez, for all his incisive and fantastic play, he doesn't really score that many or create that many assist. Suarez is more than capable of scoring and creating twice what he is doing now. I feel Suarez is a Peter Beardsley more than an Ian Rush/ Robbie Fowler. If only we can get a good finisher who can find and wait in spaces in the penalty box to apply a simple finish to a Suarez pass.

As for Lucas, he is still quite young. Hope he can recover fully. He is a confirmed starting 11 in the Brazilian team when he is fit, I feel. I think he can fit into Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U easily as a holding defensive midfielder, not just a mid-table team.

But there are others here who even now will not admit they are wrong about Lucas, who will never be man enough to admit the poison they spread about our own players.

Contrary to those who beileve in Lucas and some might dispute but he is or only the best at the moment as the actuall BEST aren't in the team any longer in the likes of Alonso & Masherano along with past players like ,Mac Dermott, McMahon, Molby, Souness times who are in their times great playmakers with great vision and ball intuition

So the the reliance on someone (Lucas) who had been in the squad to perform better is longing to an extent

But since supporting the Pools since the Paisley period we had much2 better playmakers than Lukas to be honest

Agreed.

Lucas is a talented player no doubt, and it helps that the rest of our midfield is rather poor. Makes him look even better.
We were spoilt in the 70s 80s and during the Alonso-Masch-Gerrard days.

Adam seems to pick his games. He only performs against the bigger boys. Woeful tackler, and yet to see his set piece specialities work. His Hollywood passes are rather annoying too when a simple pass is all is needed to open a defence.

Our midfield really needs to improve cos we have good strikers but no distribution. I am confident Carroll will prove his worth if given another season with better service.
We need to be going for better players too, not buying overrated British lads or competing with the likes of West Ham for players eg Jelavic.

Gonna be a tough few games coming up, hope we push for 4th instead of slipping further down.

De Jong's off balance shot nestles in the corner. 1-1 on aggregate.

Penalty! Stevie again to the right - scores! 2-1 and well deserved for us.

One all HT and 2-1 on aggreg. Dominated but unlucky to be level; cool penalty by Stevie.

2-1 to City after string of Hart saves. Dzeko taps in dangerous cross from the left.

2-2 Bellars beats Hart finally after neat one two in the box!

Full time 2-2, 3-2 to us on aggregate! Worthy winners and dominated City!

Again once again thanks to CB who came thru for us. The whole team played a lot better than the last game. I must say though Joe Hart is really good for City he made many saves for City .

Wembly here we come. Hopefully we will get some silverware this season.

Next match will be against Manchester United in the FA Cup.

my bad yes Cardiff.

Should be an emotional game for Bellars!

I think if we beat United this weekend, we can go all the way for the FA Cup as well. But personally, I would take 4th place over trophies cos a CL place will really help us compete financially with the big boys.

Recently, fans have been taking the insults beyond the Scouse humour and I hope those comments just stay on the internet. The Oldham situation hasnt helped either and has thankfully dissolved.

Like GeMiNiZzzzZzz has said, Fergie would love it if we allowed this Evra thing to somehow take centre stage and gives him more reason to taint the LFC name.

Just wanna focus on the business on the pitch and the players we have are professional about that thankfully. Fans will do their part in supporting the team and yeh definitely can expect the Scouse banter :D

Players of course defends his own colleagues
Only contribution - header against the bar and delaying the time at the corner flag out of the whole 93mins ..

Well millions of Liverpool fans does have their own comments - who cares as long as we now got into the 5th round ;)

hope you don't mean Carroll, that was a good assist from him for the winner. He will be a proper player if the team plays 4-4-2. He can't lead the line himself.
That's 2 assists from Big Andy in the last 2 games he started. More than I can say for a Downing sadly.

Apparently 3 United fans were arrested for spitting at the Hillsborough Memorial, classy bunch eh?

Can't wait for the next round draw, something tells me we might draw Chelsea.

If facing Chelsea it is going to be a bit tough as they have almost a full strength squad. The past 2 games that Liverpool have had will surely boost their confidence level up. All we can do is take 1 game at a time and make sure we win.

I really hope AC will continue to improve for his sake.

I personally am desperate for Carroll to be a star for us cos he has the qualities.
Shame everyone just focuses on his price tag.

Wolves,Spurs and United away coming up, we need to have more confidence in front of goal to get points off these games.

I am still hoping we sign a forward thinking player before the Wolves game. We still look pretty blunt up front. Playing wingers isnt working out as well.

I think KD will move SD back to the left wing where he is more natural swinging in the crosses for AC to attack. Gerrard can swing them in from the right.

Agree, I am looking forward to a fox in the box striker... Defoe or Bent would be ideal though highly unlikely...

Liverpool down United in FA Cup, Newcastle exit

LONDON (Reuters) - Substitute Dirk Kuyt struck 2 mins fr time 2 give hosts Liverpool a 2-1 FA Cup 4th-round victory over Manchester United on Saturday with visiting captain Patrice Evra being booed throughout & making a mistake 4 the winner.

Mike Williamson was the fall guy 4 Newcastle United as his 76th-minute own goal meant Championship (second division) Brighton & Hove Albion knocked out the Premier League side 1-0 in the late kickoff.

4th-tier Crawley Town stunned 2nd division Hull City by the same score in the only other shock, while Chelsea also beat Queens Park Rangers 1-0.

United left back Evra was given a hostile Anfield reception aft the Frenchman's involvement in a spat with Liverpool's Luis Suarez in October, which led 2 the Uruguayan 4ward's current 8-match ban 4 racial abuse.

Kenny Dalglish's side, still missing the verve offered by Suarez, took the lead on 21 mins when Daniel Agger headed in a corner tat struggling United goalkeeper David de Gea failed 2 collect aft he was crowded out by the hosts.

United, without the injured Wayne Rooney, hit back thru a crisp strike inside the near post fr Park Ji-sung on 39 mins & the visitors had other good chances, with Antonio Valencia hitting the post.

Liverpool had the last laugh, though, when Andy Carroll, widely criticised 4 his form since his move fr Newcastle last year, flicked on the ball 2 leave Evra out of position & Kuyt slammed it in when De Gea could again hv done better.

Asked if Liverpool had merited victory, captain Steven Gerrard told ITV Sport: "Not on possession, probably not on general play; we've got 2 give Manchester United credit, they controlled large periods of the game 2day, but the most important thing was the result & we got there in the end."

United boss Alex Ferguson, whose side beat Premier league title rivals Manchester City in the 3rd round but r now out of the FA Cup as well as the Champions League, agreed.

"I don't know how we lost it, it was a really good performance by us," he said.

Liverpool were woeful in a league defeat at struggling Bolton Wanderers last weekend but eliminated Premier League leaders City on Wednesday 2 reach the League Cup final & hv now beaten bitter rivals & league champions United.

Dutchman Kuyt's strike sent Anfield in2 raptures & prompted more hopes in the city tat Dalglish can bring back the glory days fr his previous spell in charge.

The goal also avoided a replay @ Old Trafford next month, which Suarez would hv been eligible 2 play in.

Racism accusations were also the backdrop 2 Chelsea's win @ Queens Park Rangers, where John Terry, in court next week aft being charged over comments allegedly made 2 QPR's Anton Ferdinand in October, was kept away fr his fellow defender as the clubs decided not 2 shake hands b4 kickoff.

Like Evra, Terry was constantly heckled by the home fans whose wrath switched 2 the referee on 62 mins when he awarded a soft penalty 2 Chelsea aft Clint Hill was adjudged 2 hv pushed Daniel Sturridge. Juan Mata converted the spot kick.

In 2 all-Premier League ties, Bolton overcame Swansea City 2-1 @ home & Norwich City prevailed 2-1 @ West Bromwich Albion 2 also make round 5.

Last season's runners-up, Stoke City, progressed with a simple 2-0 victory @ Derby County.

Other results included Blackpool 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday, Leicester City 2-0 Swindon Town, Millwall 1-1 Southampton, Sheffield United 0-4 Birmingham City, & Stevenage 1-0 Notts County.

Tottenham Hotspur r also thru aft beating 2nd-tier Watford 1-0 on Friday, when Everton overcame Fulham 2-1.

The 2 remaining 4th-round fixtures take place on Sunday, with Sunderland entertaining north-east rivals Middlesbrough & Arsenal hosting Aston Villa.

Manchester City have rejected an offer from Liverpool to swap Carlos Tevez for £35million misfit Andy Carroll.

not sure whether i'ld like teves to be in our team....
there's no doubt about his talent nor work rate, but he seems to have some attitude and homesickness problem, also never able to settle in one club long...
anyway, according to media report, he is not interested to switch to merseyside...

also, i dun think it's wise to ship out AC. we should be looking to reinforce our attacks rather than replace...

SH149

I think we should keep AC

Reason is simple certain player needs time to groom just like Lucas n Kyut
They were a never a popular figure when they play for us
Kyut in his first season can't score as for Lucas even worst as its seems everyone is calling for his head when the team didn't play well but both of them didn't give up when there is team show interest on them n offer escape route for them to play outside England

To be frank other than New Castle I also won't think there is other BPL team want to take the risk by signing him let alone Man City

Just my 2 cents worth

From what I can see from this article , it is only to test City if they want AC. Probably AC heard about it and that explains why he improved on last nites game's .

Personally I dun think Tevez would fit into Liverpool. I have to say he is not cut out for the england game and he is always homesick. Being a professsional player he should know where his prirorities are .

If we can win the Carling Cup & the FA Cup we will see the beginning of a new era under King Kenny.

By the way does anyone knows by winning the FA Cup , do we qualify for the Europa League ?

Agree with SH149 - there is much to gain if we show some patience with AC.

Don't think City really want to sell Tevez - they just want to destroy him. After the two Milan clubs pulled out, who wants to take a risk at that kind of price?

true true. in fact i was also quite impressed with Boro tonite agt Sun. the Away team could hv won the tie.

wishing Pool all da best! with Suarez back, it shd boost our attack. muz say the route to the finals aint easy as along the way (if we kill brighton), there r still the hurdles like Spurs, Chel, Bolton, Stoke,Ars/Villa.

I was watching online at the Fa cup site.

Anyway if I remembered correctly, whoever wins between pool and manure usually goes on to win the cup. Don't know if it was broken already or not.

The last time that pool beat manure in the Fa cup was in 06 and went on to win the cup.

Manure won in 99 after beating pool but last season got dump out by manc after beating us.

True as back in 1982 Brighton did beat Liverpool in the 5th Round F.A. Cup game

Also past Pools' All Time Great left winger was a Brighton player after his dayz in Liverpool

De Gea - D'oh!

– 30-9-11,09:52 http://www.joe.ie/football/football-...esco-0016285-1

D'oh! United 'keeper nabbed for stealing doughnut in Tesco

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea was let off with a warning after being nabbed stealing a doughnut in Tesco.

The 20-year old Spaniard was caught on CCTV cameras pinching an original glazed doughnut, worth around €1.39, from a Krispy Kreme shelf in the Tesco store in Altrincham, Manchester.

De Gea ate the donut while still in the store, but as he went to exit, he was accosted by security staff – one of whom spoke fluent Spanish – and brought into a ‘stop and search room’, where he was later released without charge.

A source said that de Gea waltzed into the Tesco store with two Spanish pals and said that he was “deeply embarrassed” by his jammy mistake.

“They weren’t very subtle. They swaggered in chatting loudly in Spanish,” said the source.

“The security guards who monitor the CCTV watched two of them take a doughnut each out of the Krispy Kreme cabinet.

“Incredibly, they then appeared to try to leave without paying – or buying anything else for that matter.”

A Tesco source added: “A customer was spoken to by our security team and the issue was resolved.”

De Gea has enjoyed a far from sugar-coated start to his Manchester United career and rather than establishing himself as an authoritative presence in the United defence, it seems as if he has been merely filling a hole in the United rearguard so far.

Opposition teams have been targeting the callow De Gea in the Premier League and they will be licking their lips at the prospect of heaping further misery on him after this tasty episode.

Interestingly, the Spaniard is said to get his sticky fingers on around €80,000 per week, which by our calculations, would buy him around 57,554 Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

Many observers have felt that De Gea has looked like a bit of a jammy dodger in his short United career to date; now they have irrefutable evidence to back it up

Sometimes in life, you meet intellectually challenged kids who makes a lot of noise and create a situation. I used to get irritated with such rude kids and wonder why their parents allow these kids to be so uncontrollable.

Later on, I realised that due to the imbalance in what Mother Nature has bestowed on the parents and the kid, the kid isn't capable of preventing himself from being a nuisance. It isn't the parents or the kid's fault. They also don't wish to be a nuisance. Some people are born like that. I begin to feel pity for the parents and child.

So let's just accept that Mother Nature has her own way and Pirambi lacks what 99% of the world has, a completely functioning brain. I feel sorry for him and I will like to extend a sympathetic hand to you for your misfortune. You can type whatever you want here. Most of us have blocked you anyway so your comments won't be able to irritate us. We will just treat it as Mother Nature hasn't been as fair to you. If typing comments which no one else can read makes your illness better, please type all you want. I'm sure we can accomodate such statements as 'This user is on your Ignore List.'

A good player wont become a bad player by overnight but he had been in the BPL long enough if he is really that good the so call big team would have already snap him liao n not wait untill now right ?

Anyway the english are mostly over rated so by spending too much on them is it a good idea ? i still fancy KD to call up the youth team player or the reserve team if the senior player does not able to perform

Bent ....no updates leh as of now since the last time i checked..
Big clubs likes to buy branded names player so got resale value..bent is not any branded name ..moving youngsters up is always good in the long term..but let's be realistic and truthful yourself - how many businessman will do that ? Wait for them to grow up? Like Arsenal waiting for 7yrs without anything?
Big clubs never groom players because they want turnover fast.
Only small clubs does that..

I look at Liverpool like a business and my supported club hence these statements...but ppl look at them as only their supported clubs hence......they have diff opinion ;)

Our next match is against Wolves away

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/preview/_/id/317986?cc=4716

Dun expect much from our players as I am sure most of them are tired having played 2 excellent matches only a few days ago.

A draw would be sufficient but then a win will also be great.

Counting down the matches when Suarez will return to action.

pleased with the overall performance, but feel we should have scored more. At times Bellamy and Adam can be guilty of being selfish instead of squaring the ball to others.

I thought Carroll played well. Still lacking pace but I thought he won the ball in the air well and so delighted he scored a goal on his 1 year anni.

Kuyt as well I thought was back to himself, guess a goal against Utd can really do things for your confidence.

I like the way Andy can one-touch lay off a pass. It's fairly accurate and better than when he tries to bring the ball down and control it, when he becomes a bit slow and clumsy.

What I really liked, which the commentators realised too, was that Andy was heading balls into very good positions but our midfielders never were in position to score. I could see someone like Gerrard getting on the end of such balls but unfortunately his fitness nowadays is questionable.

I m a liverpool supporter and I worry about our future. We seem to think that we can buy medals with money. We spent big money on carroll, downing, henderson. But when I watch them play for liverpool, i can't help feel that they are no better than the pplayers we had in the past.

On the contrary, let's look at our biggest rival - Manchester Utd. I hate to say this. But they really have a very formidable squad built for the future 10 years. Anchor young players who can continue to win trophies and medals for Man Utd are Rooney, Nani, Valencia, Phil jones, Ashely Young, Danny Welbeck and Paul Pogba. And I foresee that Alex Ferguson will continue to add a few more rising stars to his squad in the next few years. However, we don't seem to have that kind of strength in liverpool. What do you think?

The thing i give credit to Man Utd is that they can achieve things with an ordinary squad and in Phil Jones, I think they bought a superstar in the making.
Valencia has impressed in the last few weeks too, shame Rafa couldnt sign him when there was interest.

I still believe if methods work well, Carroll and Hendo will be successes, its just that now we all want instant success.

Players like Downing anger me more, cos he is very experienced yet plays with no confidence and never wants to lead or take responsibility. He seems to be very comfortable being just another member of the team. He needs to realise he isnt playing for mid table mediocrity! Set an example for the younger lads Stewie!

Look at Spearing, whenever given the chance, the little fella really takes control and stamps his authority. We need more of this attitude from our older players, not just from Reina, Gerrard and the centrebacks.

I don't think the scum have a bright future. They are in trouble financially and their kids - how matter how good Wellbeck and Smalling are - are up against the lights of City and Chelsea.

We haven't spent that much money net actually. We are pretty careful.

What I dislike is the mentality of many fans - not the club - that if Downing, Carroll, Henderson are not up to scratch, buy another striker, a star winger. You see a lot of that during the transfer windows, including the last one. Always looking for quick fixes rather than giving players support and the extra lift.

tbh if Citeh cannot win this season's EPL agst a United squad that is clearly lacking in depth n strength then i think Mancini sld get the boot...

as for the reds...looks clear by now that this is a transition season...

Always felt Johnson is better off as right mid. His pace troubles people and you are right, his defending is inconsistent. What's the logic of putting a left footed player like Downing on the right ah? He always cuts in.

Exactly why I suggest playing Kuyt at right midfield. To counter Gareth Bale. He's scoring too much for a left back. If we can attack his position and double team him, we might slow down his runs. I think we used the same tactic against Maicon in the Champions League a few seasons back?

lifted this fm the LFC forum...massive game tonite

Today for the first time in a long long time I was celebrating Manchester United goals. It felt very dirty, and not in a good way.

I agree that Webb's horrendous second penalty was a farce, but Man U had at least one good shout for a pen in the first half, and a good shout for a red card, so maybe Webb was balancing it out.

And even if the final result was hard on Chelsea because of the decisions, you have to remember how lucky they've been with refereeing decisions against Newcastle, where they should have had a man sent off early on, and against someone else too where they won with a last minute goal. It balances itself out.

The most pleasing thing apart from the ideal result for us, was how atrociously bad both defences are. Man U showed their propensity to implode and concede bags of goals. Chelsea showed their propensity to throw away leads and inability to shore up, and giving away 2, 3 or 4 stonewall penalties in a game - horrendous. It's a wonder either team is above us - the west London outfit won't be for long.

It's also wonderful how demoralized and angry and losing it both managers are. Especially Chelsea, losing a 3 goal lead. It has to hurt badly, it could ruin their already-faltering season. Hopefully they both continue stumbling and lose bags of points in the next few months and make it easy for us.

I hate to say it but I hope we'll all be supporting Everton to not just draw but beat Chelsea at Goodison next Saturday. What's it to us. It's not like they're a theat to us anyway

But the best thing about today obviously, is that if we beat Spurs, and that is admittedly a very tough game, then we will be only 2 points behind Chelsea, with them still to come to Anfield. 4th place will be back in our hands statistically, and we'll be only one more bad Chelsea result combined with good Liverpool result, away from regaining our rightful place at the top table

For many years, I have supported Liverpool Fc.
They disappointed me by their inconsistency, not worthy of the EPL title.

But but! When big matches come coming, we more than often rise to the occasion. Yes! We have beaten Man U & Man City when they are in their full flown this season. And I always remember how We have come back from behind to win the CL in Turkey. This is a team that play above their ability when the fan's support comes in full strength.

But the best thing about today obviously, is that if we beat Spurs, and that is admittedly a very tough game, then we will be only 2 points behind Chelsea, with them still to come to Anfield. 4th place will be back in our hands statistically, and we'll be only one more bad Chelsea result combined with good Liverpool result, away from regaining our rightful place at the top table

for this, i was supporting man u yesterday

Pool to avenge that defeat.. 4-1 and we will be rocking for the visit to the scums this weekend...:p

we will do better... liverpool 4 - 0 spurs
Suarez (2), Carroll (1) and Gerrard (1)

Battle tonite agt Spurs will be in midfield which we'll need to cut out the livewires Bale, Modric & Parker.

Bale & Modric have been phenomenal for Spurs this season which they have been accountable for many of the goals n assists. while Scott Parker is the quiet , unsung hero who had been doing all the dirty work in midfield.

i would settle for any ugly win for Pool. :D

My heart wants Liverpool to win but my analysis says it will be a draw game..... HR is a streetsmarts wily old fox..... KD is not his match.

Liverpool 1 Spurs 1

An above average performance in the 1st half
Obviously we had much more chances and possession.

Bale was kept very very quiet by Kelly. Really love him.
Bellars kept running at the defence on the left but no real threat tough.
Kuyt ..had a bad 1st half..seems puncture these few games..wayward passing and crossing :o
AC....ok la some good lay-off...but nth more towards goal bound tough..

Mom in the 1st half as expected is Stevie..seems so hungry and part of every moves.

Hope 2nd h get the 3 points ;)

8th home draw in 12th matches..
Guess really have to win the lg cup for europe

Going to work with a heavy heart

Hmm... Kinda disappointed by the result, especially when we had the upper hand most of the game.. Which is the story of most our home games this season...

Let's hope the return of Suarez can really spark a good run from now...

I think if fans wanna criticise Carroll's miss, Suarez was even worse.
Overall good performance but the same problem in front of goal.

Yet another game where Carroll nodded down very good balls to the box but noone to attack, don't understand why our midfielders never run into the box when there is a chance of a nod down or cross.

I was disappointed with Bale diving and Scott Parker's overreacting to tackles etc.

LS came on in the 70min..the miss at least on target but he sld score with his std tough.

AC (ahh I mentioned his name again :D) misses was all off target tough I agree his knock down were all missed by our midfield ..argh ..

No one knows where his passes or knockdown would be..

He really needs to work on his finishing where strikers are judge to score not assist which is the midfielders job..

I never expected Carroll to be a 25 goal a season striker.
I was expecting 10 goals, and many assists, something like Crouch,Heskey and Toshack did for us and other big strikers in the past.

The one thing that pisses me off about Carroll is he is damn sulky and wastes a lot of time arguing with the ref.

But for Suarez, he is the one we all look at to be that 25 goal player but I am really shocked at how far behind he is and we cannot say he has not had the chances.

If the players do not know when to expect passes etc, then there is something wrong with King's training and coaching methods. These are tactics that should be discussed in my opinion.

Overall a draw with Spurs is a good result to me, especially how Bale, Adebayor and Modric were not allowed to even trouble our players. Their best player was Parker, a defensive player which is a huge compliment to our boys.

Well done on the performance Liverpool, Old Trafford next!

Anyway nowadays diving very common.

2 top players in Johnson and bale..really rediculous..

LS kick ..seriously I look again and again...it seems very deliberate...to me anyways..

agree bro, looks more deliberate than what Balotelli did.

I really hope the FA ignore it since Suarez is already enemy number 1.

Agreed bro
He should stop complaining and run on to the ball until the whistle is blown.
Happens too many times when he can actually stopped when he has a goal scoring chance just to complain. Kenny has to remind him that.
Always play to the whistle.

LS, I can only say our assist to him is not gd enuff.
Anyway he likes to do things himself ..dribble and shoot.
He has the most assist as a striker at Ajax for past few seasons consecutively..

How to gel these 2 up I also dunno..

back down to reality after a great 3 match run:(...think this match abt sums up the reds' EPL season...worst conversion rate in the EPL...poor crossing, poor last balls n no clinical finish...this was a match for the taking n a must win match at that...sadly n unfortunately the reds attack just cmi...

oh yes wld luv to know what arry is feeding scottie parker becuz this chap was da beast:D

over the summer kenny n comolli really need to find a top class winger n striker...n when i mean top class i mean true top class n not pay 20m quid for the likes of downing...

its getting to the stage where that illusive 4th spot is no longer in the reds hands...worst still it is a 4 horse race...

saying that i still look fwd to the nxt match at old trafford n live in hope...:)

The FA can't do anything about it because the referee already gave a yellow card. Punishment was meted out and it's not an incident that was unsighted by the referee.

Webb is a joke.

Scum always dangerous even if they are poor. Let's raise our game and not capitulate.
