We create our own reality with our beliefs, thoughts and expectations. Our emotions faithfully reflect our beliefs and attitudes. Very often, you think that you feel a certain way in response to an event that happened to you. Instead, it is frequently the case that the event sprung into physical actuality in a manner so as to justify or validate that inner emotion. The event is the result, not the cause, of your state of being and feeling.
What is the purpose of our existence in the physical dimension? I have a simple answer: To grow and expand our consciousness. But within the simplicity of that answer lies profound details which we must explore through many lifetimes.
Another author has once remarked that our purpose on Earth is to "learn and have fun". That is not wrong. But I feel that is not complete. The process of life and existence is the process of unfolding the true multi-dimensionality and eternal validity of our own being. It is our very nature to seek growth and to seek expansion, for this is the very fabric of who and what we are as eternal souls. As a consequence of expanding our consciousness and evolving into a greater self and a greater reality, we learn and have lots of fun.
Some people may be tempted to think, since we form our own reality, why not let all of us form realities consisting only of wealth, health, joy, a good family life, a good love life, and all things great and noble? Indeed, some folks on Earth do form such realities for themselves, and it is not wrong at all to do so. These realities serve their purposes in their own unique way, and from the realities of wealth, health and seemingly unlimited abundance, these individuals grow, expand, learn and have fun.
But to think that the purpose of Reality Creation is just to learn how to form such realities is to miss the point. The purpose of Reality Creation is the expansion of our eternally valid consciousness into greater realms of being and existence. We seek to express our infinite creativity. In physical terms, some will choose to do it via joy and abundance whilst many will choose to experience despair and sorrow. Almost everyone will, at some point, choose to experience both ends of the spectrum. These are merely stages in our existence.
The aristocrat cannot exist without the pauper, and the genius cannot exist without the fool. Furthermore, the question of life's tragedies cannot be answered in the context which it is currently asked. We must go beyond the physical into the greater inner dimensions of actuality and being in order to answer these questions.
