Question of faith (M18)

The computer generated sequence in the beginning was very out of place and didn’t fit the tone of the film at all.

The acting in the beginning fighting scene was quite unconvincing

This was the longest movie shown in the freedomfilmfest (100 minutes); I walked out of this movie at around the 10-minute mark because after watching it for awhile I realised it was made with the same editing style and 3-act structures of many mainstream movies, which being an avid cinephile, I was nauseatingly sick off by this point. And from what I heard from the people who endured the movie to the end, the other 90 minutes was extremely bland and sappy too.

From what I gathered, the movie discussed how religious groups should live in harmony with one another and not engage in needless violence just because you disagree with somebody else’s beliefs. However, the filmmakers opined that the solution to the problem, (which our cunt country singapore has been implementing), is to just put the stupid beliefs of other people aside, do not mention it because it might be ‘sensitive’, and then we can live in ‘harmony’.

Thus I have this very huge moral disagreement with the film and thankfully I didn’t watch the it till the end otherwise I might have gotten a stroke. Disagreeing with somebody’s beliefs and then pushing it aside is not genuine harmony, it is repressed hatred, and the disagreement still exists; if it is not expressed through intermittent acts of violence (which I do not condone) or what I’ve been doing, non-violent diatribes on the internet (which I encourage people fearlessly do) under the guise of ‘preserving harmony’, unless many people in singapore start writing religious polemics (which those religious islamic, christian cunts very well deserve it) this supposed ‘harmony’ will ultimately break out into something much more lethal, which is what I speculate will ultimately happen in singapore (give it about 20-30 years ish, maybe less). We already had a hint of that in the little india riots and hopefully unlike his daddy, hsien loong will live long enough to witness his supposed ‘harmony’ crumble before his eyes.

So people, don’t just ‘accept’ people’s horrid beliefs, publicly condemn them (non-violently of course), and rid these people of their inane concepts of sky wizards and homosexual scum, and either turn them into atheists or really hurt their feelings.

Disagreement between people will be inevitable, so the trick is to viciously lambast stupid beliefs; that provides an avenue for people to release their hateful emotions (without containing it until it bursts out into murder or cancer), and less people will uphold stupidity, which not only improves us as a society because we become logical and intelligent (and thus less likely to engage in violence if we disagree with each other, and of course plenty of other benefits to humanity that is quite self-explanatory) but also gives us less things to disagree on and thus have a better chance of attaining peace. Harsh criticism ultimately breeds genuine harmony, oh the irony.

Thus in my opinion, this movie is very harmful to the social effect the filmmakers were trying to achieve, both the technical and moral dimensions of the movie are 3rd-rate, dull-minded trash. I had the impression that because this movie was M18 and was shown in singapore, it was going to be good, I was wrong.

Oh yes and fuck islam, and allah doesn’t exist, but say you see a prick from ISIS who wants to kill or has even killed before, don’t think that’s a scenario where it’s alright to kill him.
