How strict is NTU hostel ?

I grad there but never stay in a hostel. However, the question of being caught will see u heng or sway. I have a frend who brought his gf to bonk in his hostel quite often, especially weekends :D

But then he's staying in single room.

Business school of course got lots of chio bu.... if u staying in a hostel, join their hostel activities, know more gals who stay same hall as u, and then the chances of u bonking one of them will be higher lor... hehe. Just don't stay in room to study the whole day :)

Not only that... few months ago, a hostel committee president was caught peeping in a girls toilet. He stepped down immediately but luckily the girl never pursue the matter.

He was sent for counselling also. Too stressed liao I guess...:eek:

a hostel committee president was caught peeping in a girls toilet.
Many years ago, I work in a renovation company as a supervisor. The company got a job at one of the shopping, now popular in Singapore. I have to supervise one of the workers to reinstate the entrance of one of lady toilet, previous use by clinic.
Estimate to seal the entrance take two days. The toilet is use by the tender only. Before starting to do the works, we request from the building management to put notice, not to use this toilet. But the problem is all the gals keep using this toilet. They don’t care we inside. I use a wheel barrow to block the entrance also no use, they even push the wheel barrow aside. I inform the management the problems, then the management says if the gals not afraid to be peep the let them use.

When you have the chance to study at NTU, it is better for you to put your energies to the studies rather than thinking about bonking gals in the hostel.

NTU is a very good university. Treasure your opportunity to learn new knowledge there.

U can do anything u wan in the room as long as u dun get caught. There might be some patrolling going on at nite, so u should bring ur girl's footwear inside just in case. As for room mate, maybe can ask him wats his daily timetable and schedule so that u know when u have the privacy. And usually open minded room mates will know wat u are up to. However, i tink its better to get someone whom u click to be ur room mate. thn easier to arrange ur activities.:D

stayed in the hostels ... very common for couples to share the room especially for single rooms (guy will bring back gals to their single room n vice versa) .. even heard of gays or lesbian activities as well but cannot confirm this coz only heard the rumours or stories from other ppl ...

but as for straight couples ... its a very common knowledge ... juz get a single room n a nice gf ... n u hav a love shack in NTU liao ... knnccb ... come to think abt it ... really wasted my single rooms then ... only me alone staying in it n studying like a nerd ... afraid of failing the subjects ...:(

Aiyo. study and bonking is two separate issue lah. I was one a student in the oversea U too and also bonk gal in any other weeks. U r rite in certain extend tat it will affect the studies but to grad or not is depend on individual time management. Mayb I am different as I treated bonk as a leisure only not feeling and won't commited to it. Just fyi.. after bonk, i can concentrate on my study better for a week cos is like nothing to look forward after bonk mah so study lor.. I do believe some chance came in certain period in your life, if u miss, u miss. Even later u gets a good master degree so what if you have miss what each thing is a good bonk in life. My 2 cents,

if want to bonk and also study, best way is to leave singapore where there are all the restrictions and enroll in a top notch university overseas. Can bonk all you want w/o commitments cuz no one really cares who you shagging. At the same time, can try foreign imports who are horny and lonely!

And since u are in an ivy league, then should be in the company for smart asses (which happen to also be the girls you are shagging). dun really need to study also can get pretty good grades.

I used to party from thurs to sunday, and study mon to weds .. think im doing reasonably decent at the moment.:D

My view: you only have 1 chance to be young and in uni. Treasure your opportunity to bonk as many babes as possible. My regret is never bonk enough when I was in your position.

NTU pretty gals are in general quite far and few btw, but there are gems to find. In the event of hall couples, ppl get involved in n out of relationships v fast, and it might be awkward to see them in hall activities.

So, do get gfs from other halls or outside of NTU, try getting a single room. And don't get too loud. The security are mostly bochup and lazy, but if residents complain, they definitely will act on it. And the 2 will get expelled from hall and a complaint will be lodged with their faculties. A brother said bring in the sandals, that's gd piece of advice. Also, maybe up your stereo music and not be too wild inside. Be friendly with your neighbours so they won't complain.

Yes I agree NTU is weak in school bonding and thus ppl won't want to join the Alumni, but the degree is worth something. Students there do work like there's no tomorrow, esp the foreigners who are out to show their mettle.

The graduates of NTU are very much sought after. I was informed that some of the new graduates can have up to 3 to 4 job offers before their final year exam and many of the graduates find jobs very quickly. I am sure NUS and SMU produce very good graduates too because they are also very much sought after by employers.

Anyway, I feel that when parents spend money to bring us to school, we need to work hard and concentrate on this task. It is very expensive to bring a son to university and the hopes that parents have are usually very high. Socialising with classmates and school mates will take time and the specific act of courting gals will require much higher investment in time and effort and this is likely to cause a trade off with school work.

I acknowledge that there are many talented bros who can multi task and can do many things well simultaneoulsy. Bros are free to feel or think otherwise.

Must see what course your friend is from. Those in Accountancy will be offered contracts half year before graduation like what another bro has said. Believe your friend is from one of the Engineering courses because the intake of foreign students is much higher. There may be some unwritten ruling towards foreign students in business or accountancy courses but I'm not sure.

It's very often in engineering to see the local students failing while the foreign students ace all the same subjects. It's because of the foreign students that the standard is raised very high.
