An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

State-controlled media, STOMP posted a photo today with the caption, “Train employee occupies Reserved Seat with her bags — while elderly man is squeezed into a corner”. STOMP is a site that’s not credible and causing alot of ruckus among its readers. Over the years, STOMP has been known for creating a false news in order to gain clicks onto the links and to attract readers. STOMP is owned by Singapore Press Holdings which is a company that belongs to Temasek Holding.

As we can see in the report STOMPER

T wrote:

“I took these photos while boarding the train on the Circle Line from Bishan towards Harbourfront on 19 Oct, at around 5:45am.

“By looking at the photos, you should know what I’m trying to say.”

Many are voicing out their anger on STOMP whoin turn transfers this anger into misleading news to attract more clicks for a higher traffic.

This is not the first time STOMP has produced misleading news to slam Singaporeans.

In 2013 and 2014, STOMP faced widespread public backlash after repeatedly picking on full-time National Servicemen by keeping up its campaign of publicizing minor transgressions on the part of those in uniform, such as publishing photos of them taking a sip of water on the MRT train or taking a seat.

After the public disdain had dissipated, STOMP tried to re-brand themselves but has failed to do.
