Today received a call from a female Financial Advisor AKA Insurance Agent and she said that she met me at this date and place a few months ago and would liked to meet me for a chat about some financial products her company had.

Scratching head, I then remembered that I meet a gal who approached me at a MRT a few months back. She then took down my nos for "survey". I vaguely remembered her........

She asked is she can meet me to introduce some products and I said next week Tue is available. So she will call me to confirm the place.

Her voice sounded sweet and a evil thought came to my mind!

Why not meet her up to listen to her "sales" talk while I see if can test water and see if can get her for a bong is I can managed to get friendly with her :D

See next week how and will update more about my meeting.

As far as I know, there're people who practice the below trick to con the poor FA to give special services.

1. Commit issurance with very high premium (>10K/yr).
2. Pass premium in check/cash to FA
3. Ask for special services
4. Cancelled the issurance before 7 (or10 I can't remember) days and get back the premium!!

The poor FA will lost both the deal and her body!

*Customer can cancel the deal before a designated time frame (pt 4) if he/she decide to after signing the deal. This is to protect the comsumer.

This is loop hole in the industry and quite a few FA had been tricked to believe that she had closed a big deal.

Please pass this information to you relative/friends who are in this line and are not aware of this sinister trick.

Actually this is not a sinister trick, it could work both ways. From what I know there is a "free look" of 7 days whereby the client can exercise his right to cancel the policy from the day he received his policy. However I also know that some FAs did not explain this right to their clients and a lot of the consumers don't know. Hence I would think this is a double edged sword and could work in either way.

Not a man to pass any judgemental views. I think you have gotten enough flaks from readers here. You can definately have your own little fantasy but by exploiting someone who's out making a decent living trying to support herself or her family members is quite uncalled for.

If you have no $$ or interests in buying any policies, just politely declined like what I always do to FA. I do not want to waste their time whereby they can seek better potential clients to close deals which I think that is the best I can do. Let alone, if you are not buying & by wasting her time hindering her other opportunites & having the audacious thoughts of free bonks, I think you have just crossed the line. This is not a matter of righteous or anything but it just shows the maturity of the way you should know how to differentiate issues.

anyway do ur funds in a mix of "managed funds" (between boonds and equities). very good in long term
so far my family hv policies in all 3 companies...prudential, aia, great eastern.

all SA money all growing at 8% at least..best is my father, his SA grew at at least 15% per yr for 4 yrs liao,

so if u grow more than the 4% in SA, at least u would say thank u to the agent,..
if the agent do the case just to reach his own target, i think damn fucked up lah.......
