An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
PAP wants the sample count to show that they are leading so that expectations of an Opposition victory can be tempered.
It is so easy to manipulate the sample count ...pick a ballot box that the Election Department has ensure most of the votes are PAP and use that for their sample count result.
Why are they doing that? To dampen Opposition supporters expectation. If the results are not in favour of the PAP, the election department officials can do dirty tricks to ensure a PAP victory. And no adverse reactions from Opposition supporters as the Sample Count as tone them down.
The Election Department could have used an exit poll instead which would be more accurate.
