i came home just now to what everyone know affectionately as void deck. I don't see senior citizens chit chatting or kids doing home work or kanak kanak playing soccer. I came home to a bunch of people sitting around speaking Shandong Mandarin dialect. Totally unbelievable.

What do we gain even if Singapore is the richest and highest gdp. We have lost our basic identity / what it means to be Singaporean. The price of rich is also having a social breakdown. In our case, I feel out of place in our own country Singapore, surrounded by foreigners. I feel as if I am in Thailand , India , China or Korea where their culture are stronger. When we are in these countries, I'm the one feeling out of place not the other way round.
