Ringgit fluctuation only temporary
BALIK PULAU: The decline of the Malaysian ringgit is only temporary, assured Datuk Shahlan Ismail, the Director of Strategic Planning for the Prime Minister’s Office. He said as such, the issue should not be sensationalised. He said the fluctuating currency was not unique to Malaysia alone, but also experienced by many other countries in the world. "This is a global phenomenon... It is not Malaysia alone. "This is a very important perception which we have to get it right," he said when officiating the Umno Balik Pulau division delegates conference here this morning. Shahlan however gave his assurance that the country's economy was on the right track.
