An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

[History] - The torture of Consort Qi by Empress Lu.

Note that this is an historical fact, and that countless victims of such atrocious tortures are known throughout the history of humanity.

"Empress Dowager Lü had Concubine Qi's limbs (ie. arms and legs) chopped off, blinded her by gouging out her eyes, cut off her tongue and locked her in the latrine, and called her a 'Human Swine'."

It is unclear for how many years Empress Lu forcibly kept Consort Qi alive in her tormented (blinded and paralyzed) state, vividly illustrating the Chinese idiom, "Qiu Shen Bu De, Qiu Shi Bu Neng".
