SINGAPORE — British Leader of the House of Commons and First Secretary of State William Hague will be representing the United Kingdom at the State Funeral Service for Mr Lee Kuan Yew this Sunday (March 29), the British High Commission said today (March 27).

Mr Hague visited Singapore in 2012 when he was Foreign Secretary. In 2009, he was also part of a UK delegation who met with Mr Lee during Mr Lee’s visit to London.

WASHINGTON: United States President Barack Obama on Thursday (Mar 26) announced the designation of a Presidential Delegation to Singapore to attend the State Funeral Service of Mr Lee Kuan Yew on March 29.

Leading the delegation will be Former President of the United States Bill Clinton.

Members of the Presidential Delegation include Kirk Wagar, US Ambassador to the Republic of Singapore, Henry Kissinger, former US Secretary of State, Steven Green, former US Ambassador to Singapore, and Thomas Donilon, former Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs.

Note: Hague will be leave the UK cabinet and parliament and is only Leader of the House of Commons. Clinton obviously was POTUS.
