NGAPORE: The Singapore Army was mobilised to help coordinate logistics early on Thursday morning (Mar 26) to help those waiting to pay their respects to Singapore's founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. In a Facebook post, they explained how the plan unfolded.

"To help ease and organise the queue, the Army was activated and worked through the night to ease the queue by setting up barricades and shelters for those in line," it wrote.

"Soldiers were activated to erect shelters and queue lines to assist in the easing of the waiting time of the public to pay their last respects to Mr Lee Kuan Yew," it added. "Queue lines were formed to ensure the queue was orderly and efficient."
