Art entrepreneur and S'pore PR arrested by Monaco police for alleged art scam. Full story: (http://therealsingapore.com/content/what-kind-billionaires-are-we-attracting-singapore)

Well-known Swiss businessman Yves Bouvier who runs and owns the Freeport group that provides security and storage facilities for precious arts has been arrested by Monaco police on suspicion of defrauding art collectors.

Yves Bouvier is a Singapore PR, having invested a substantial amount of money to open a Freeport storage facility here in 2010.

In recent years, the Freeport group had come under fire for "serving as tax havens that allow wealthy collectors to lock art away from the public view".

Another criticism against the Freeport group revolves around allegations that it allows some collectors to hide art pieces alleged to have been illicitly obtained:

Set up in collaboration with the Singapore Customs, EDB and ICA, the FreePort facility in Singapore enjoys free trade zone status, allowing the ultra-rich to store their precious collections in S'pore without having to pay duties or taxes.

The Changi North facility is also accorded special privileges such as facilitation for customs formalities to ensure the smooth flow of operations.

Its opening in 2010 was graced by the PAP Senior Minister of State for Trade & Industry, S Iswaran, who at that time had commented that S'pore was the ideal location for such facilities which would also contribute to "the development of the arts and creative businesses in Singapore, and strengthen its role as a global arts hub."

This is the same Keling fatso minister who blatantly lied to the people of S'pore that the two IRs/casinos would provide 60,000 jobs to S'poreans.

To my horror when I visited the two casinos I discovered that 98% of all their employees are from the Philippines, China, India and other countries.
