The brand new billion dollar sports hub is going to be undergoing a new set of construction works to fix the leaky dome roof

The problem surfaced during the Jay Chou Concert last month when rain started leaking through the multi-million dollar dome forcing concert goers to have to use umbrellas and raincoats indoors.

The works will see more rain deviators installed on the roof so that it can channel water more effectively.

It is expected that the works will be finished before March 11 when popular boyband One Direction is holding a concert there.

Sports Hub explained that the leaky roof problems which happened during the Jay Chou Concert were due to a “combination of factors”.

The problem is the latest in a string of issues which has plagued the billion dollar multi-purpose venue with many problems surfacing with the pitch.

For the grass problems, the Sports Hub has decided to just scrap the mutli-million dollar hybrid synthetic-natural grass and just “lay and play” a natural turf for the SEA Games held later this year.

Sports Hub explained that their main priority is to ensure that the venue is ready for the SEA Games.
