He ignored the woman's pleas and proceeded to rape her at Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Park on Aug 4, 2013.
Steelwork supervisor Sinnathamby Ramiah, 41, was jailed for 15 years and ordered to receive the maximum 24 strokes of the cane yesterday after pleading guilty to molesting the 47-year-old manager, raping her and robbing her of her iPhone.
Two counts of insulting the modesty of a teenager in 2013 were taken into consideration.
The woman was jogging in the park at about 9pm when Sinnathamby, a Malaysian, spotted her and attacked her. He threatened to kill her if she screamed.
