Rude China tourists in Thailand topple barrier, almost damage Ramayana Grand Palace mural

Published on Dec 17, 2014

Chinese tourists from China have a bad reputation, outside of China. Just earlier this week we covered a Chinese couple who attacked their flight attendant and forced the entire flight to return to Bangkok.

Well, here’s another one about Chinese tourists in Thailand. Poor Thailand.

Bangkok’s Grand Palace boasts the world’s longest mural, an elaborate piece hundreds of feet long and gilded in gold, depicting scenes from the mythological saga “The Ramayana”.

Tourists flock to the palace to see this grand piece of art every year, but a group of Chinese tourists were so eager to get up close to the piece that they pushed over the protective barrier. The tour guide was forced to rush out and tell the entire group to step back and to not touch the delicate mural.

Poor Thailand, they must be so frustrated!
