SINGAPORE - Commuters on a Circle Line train heading towards One North station were stranded briefly on Tuesday morning after a power failure disrupted rush-hour services.
A commuter told The Straits Times that a power failure occurred at about 9am as the train was pulling out of Buona Vista station. She heard a loud bang and the train then jolted. Some lights in the train also went off momentarily.
In a tweet at 9.17am, SMRT alerted commuters to 10-minute delay from Serangoon stations to Buona Vista station towards Harbour Front station due to a power fault. At about 9.30am, it said that the fault was cleared but delays are still expected.
