The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has inspected the pitch of the National Staidum and decided that they will go ahead and hold the Suzuki cup in Singapore.
However, half of the games will be moved to Jalan Besar stadium as the grass at the National Stadium is still not good enough.
Only those games expected to have large crowds will be held at the National Staidum which has a much larger seating capacity.
All other matches will be held at Jalan Besar Stadium.
The National stadium can hold up to 55,000 fans while the Jalan Sesar Stadium can only hold 8,000.
The matches being held at each stadium are as follows:

Following AFF’s decision, Mr Zainudin Nordin, the president of the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) explained that Singapore is grateful for AFF’s approval.

SportsHub also said that they are pleased with the decision to go ahead and hold some games at the national stadium and they explained that they are committed to optimise pitch recovery.
The AFF Suzuki cup is not the only event to have been affected by the poor grass at the National Stadium.
The Maori All Blacks Rugby game against the Asia Pacific Dragons was cancelled by organisers citing unsafe conditions.
Jay Chou’s concert here was also postponed for a month and a half and a concert last week for Mariah Carey was also moved so it would not be on the problem-plagued pitch.
This is despite earlier assertions from SportsHub that they would go ahead with all these events.
