That's the danger bro. 3 months is the usual HIV incubation period with no HIV antibodies detected, but patients can still look and behave normally with anti-retroviral drugs (and they're really advanced now) for a long time, i.e years after the latency phase.

The AIDS patients I've seen so far in my course of post-med studies are not all sickly, like what you see in those posters highlighting Kaposi's Sarcoma sufferers. Most look... Normal, barring the ones close to death.
