This was published proudly in Asiaone as Sgp being the best in IP protection. I, unfortunately, think this is not good for the tech landscape.
Blindly proving to be the best in IP protection only serves to make the MNCs happy, however this stifles any SME companies "learning" from others designs.
Look at Taiwan, Korea, Japan and now China. Why were they tech powerhouses? Because they went through a phase of "copying"... They never had to reinvent the wheel so to speak. They just improved it.
Somehow those scholars that have never worked in the real world would not understand this.... reading books on innovation is just never enough.
