Veteran Singapore actor David Bala has passed away.

Vasantham posted the announcement on its Facebook page on Friday, 29 August.

A familiar figure in the arts scene, Bala was known for roles in Jack Neo movies such as “Just Follow Law” and “Ah Long Pte Ltd”, and several Vasantham dramas.
Fans remember him most for his role in Mark Lee's comedy "The Ghosts Must be Cray" where he played army officer Encik Muthu.
