Go for separation lor, then proceed to file. Better than keep dragging :D

go on grounds of separation as advised by sis guess67.
can back date if you can prove it. your lawyer should be able to advise.

it takes two to stay married.
if the divorce has been filed, i'm sure a lot of thought has gone into it and attempts made to salvage the marriage cos it's not an easy decision.

if he's not beyond reasonable, can try to talk for an amicable parting.
if not, u can live your own life. u may piss him off enough and he may sign.

If I remember right, a PPO costs over $10K & quite a few hearings before a judge. You need at least a police case or few to put forward your ground.

Why he is control freak? The answer is he lack of security. Try to break the lock and find whats the problem which resulted him to be this way. There is a solution to it.

perhaps its better for both of you to sit down and have a good talk over it? from there make some concessions towards each other

I think a guy is usually a control freak if he is not doing well in his career....otherwise this rarely happens....:D:D:D
