So many threads now about brudders wanting to settle down with tiraks, whether WL or non-WL. But nobody discussed the flip side of the coin -- you want to settle down, can you retire from being a cheongster?

This is especially important in relationships with WL. They got to know you because you were their customer. They will not trust you when you settle down because they know you are a cheongster.

So how can you assure her that you have quit? How do you stop yourself?

For me, I already 发毒誓 to my wife, but everytime I go and read the FR threads, very gian leh :D , so have to quickly switch to non-FR before the itch gets the better of me.

I won't be at peace within myself after cheonging, knowing I broke a convenant to be faitthful to each other
If I really love her, I also must control myself even as I expect her to do the same
Knowing the past, the last thing I want to do is to fail her & betray her trust in me.
Can't imagine doing it with another I dun love now

Really tough at first but it does get easier as time goes by. Finally have reached the stage where I can happily walk thru GL and ignore all the FL's calls or go sit in a Cat40 hse to wait for bros to do what they had to do. "1-woman" man means you only love her, rite? But I have seen so many "1-woman" men, who will never think of leaving their "1-woman" for any other, and really love their "1-woman", but because they have been cheongster so long, they cannot quit cheonging. Like I said before, to these guys, love is love and fcuking is fcuking. Call them hypocrites if you will, but in their hearts, they really love their "1-woman"!! sometimes their "1-woman" even understand their "addiction" and forgive them for cheonging!!

They dun trust u, but u will also have doubt in them. Cos they r WL b4....since dun trust each other, then dun settle down till the trust thing is resolved.

This trust thing take a long time to resolve...until I heh heh chuan...but In my case, finally resolved...that's why I advise brudders -- DON'T TRY TO GET INTO r/s with WL. 自找死路!

I guess u r fortunate in that u r able to enjoy good sex with your wife...the problem is when she does not enjoy it as much and one starts to crave for the physical pleasures that some pros are so well trained to provide....which one used to get before settling down....

Yes, the best way not to cheong is not to start at the very beginning. Everyone knows that cheonging is hurting our pockets and a potential health hazard. Retiring can always try, but it means a lot of effort. Hopefully, love and family can plays a part. :)

Ask those who cheong regularly with me to verify this. For sex, also can control. It is how u control, as I mentioned b4, most cheongsters will still use small head to think.

I guess there are no simple ways around it. Abstinence totally depends on your will power. Are they anything about commericial sex or ONS that will turn you off? If so, use that as a rallying point. E.g. if you have gotten STDs from previous encounters, you might not want to experience the trauma again. To answer the question, there is no one true way. You just have to find it in you.

Think about how you will feel if she "cheong" behind your back. Then put yourself in her shoes - how will she feel is she knows you cheong behind her back. This maybe will stop you.

Maybe, you can lock your income by buying more insurance and pay through GIRO.... so you will not have much money to spend..... Have you ever calculated all your cheonging expenses and wondered what investments you could have done with all that money?

Someone told me get a big transparent glass jar and everytime you feel the urge to go GL, put the $40 or $150 or whatever into the jar. Very soon the growing pile of zuah jee in the jar will make you very happy.
