PM Lee sues Blogger Roy Ngern instead of rebutting him.
Once again, our less-than-patriotic pap secretary general LHL[link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/unpatriotic-prime-minister-and-antinationalistic-pap)] has sued the blogger Roy Ngern [link (http://mothership.sg/2014/05/blogger-roy-ngerng-receives-defamation-suit-from-pm-lee-hsien-loong-2/)]. The point of contention was that the article linked CPF and lessons learned from the City Harvest Church Trial [link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/blogger-roy-ngerng-sued-prime-minister-lee-hsien-loong)]. A person with a point to prove will rebut his case with facts, not intimate the opponent with legal means.
Has City Harvest Church been proven guilty yet?
If one follows the case and trial, all that is required is that the leaders of the church have a case to answer[link by today-- City Harvest trial: Accused have a case to answer, says Judge] . In short, City Harvest Church is NOT proven GUILTY yet!
If City Harevst is not proven guilty, then why is pap Sec Gen suing others based on the impression of the trial and not the outcome?
This is the puzzling part. If the City Harvest Church is yet to be proven guilty, then why is pap LHL suing the blogger Roy? Yes the trial has given City Harvest Church a less than positive light, but nothing is concrete yet as the verdict is not out? However, it seems that pap LHL knows that the outcome will prove that City Harvest Church will be guilty of fraud? Is this right? Ask if the City Harvest followers if they think the legal system is fair?
It is not pap first time that verdict is out before trial?
Well, some may claimed that this might be the first time that pap infringes on this, but it is more than once. Let me share some examples.
Seng Han Tong case—no trial, but already mentioned by pap law minister he is not guilty!
Pap MP Seng Han Tong made a racist remark[link (http://news.xin.msn.com/en/singapore/article.aspx?cp-documentid=5683625)]. Whether or not it is intentional or a careless remark, one must face the law. This is the same with killing someone. A trial is needed to determine if it is murder (intentional) or manslaughter(unintentional) . In fact, the pap MP face no trial even being rebuke by fellow pap malay MP [link (http://news.asiaone.com/News/Latest+News/Singapore/Story/A1Story20111224-318013.html)], but pap law minister came out in support of the case[link (http://amuletforums.com/threads/minister-shanmugam-tries-to-defend-seng-han-thong.21912/)]
Dinesh Raman: No complete inquest or investigation, but verdict is out.
Dinesh Raman, an inmate at Changi died after 10 prison officers were involved in holding him down[link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/10-prison-officers-involved-assault-dinesh-only-1-them-charged)]. However, the case was wrapped up WITHOUT a coroner’s inquiry [link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/petition-re-open-dinesh-raman%E2%80%99s-coroner%E2%80%99s-inquiry)]. What exactly happened? No one knows the whole fact, as only one officer was guilty and not the system [link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/has-system-failed-dinesh-raman)] that was being investigated. It does raised lots of doubts[link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/queries-death-prison-inmate-dinesh-raman-so-chinnaiah)].
Little India Riot: deported before a chance for trial.
The little india riot had around 400 rioters [link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/photos-and-videos-riot-little-india)]. However, about 57 of them were deported before they had a chance to defend their case [link (https://sg.news.yahoo.com/little-india-riot--deportation-for-53-workers-who--did-not-obey--police-orders-083215523.html)]. For all you know, there may be cases of mistaken identity, like the alleged rioter that was lost while waiting for his brother and the police couldn’t identify him [link (http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2014-05-21/news/50002041_1_singapore-riot-little-india-amended-charge)]. In fact, before the trial, it seemed that pap had pointed to alcohol as the plausible cause the riot [link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/singapore-riot-complete-alcohol-ban-little-india-weekend)] and the case is isolated[link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/they-have-already-decided-little-india-riot-isolated-incident)] .
Possible corrupt case went to parliamentary session but not CPIB.
When Dr Lee Suan Yew, Lee Kuan Yew's younger brother, was on the board of directors of the company, Lee Kuan Yew managed to buy condominium units at a discounted price[link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/nassim-jade-scandal)] . The Share holders however, are not able to do so[link] (http://sgforums.com/forums/10/topics/127699). However, instead of the appropriate board investigating the case, ie the CPIB, there was only an open parliamentary session[link (http://sgforums.com/forums/10/topics/127699)]. It is akin to a murder case being investigated by a pap MP instead of the police.
Why the law affects you!
It is simple, we are all humans and we do erred. One of these days , no matter how small a case,from a car collision to a simple dispute with neighbours, workers or even parents, we need the law. But if we are to err on the side of safety, choose a government that has a fair legal system, NOTpap that will use the legal system to its own benefits [link (http://therealsingapore.com/content/legal-due-processes-affects-everyone-singapore)]. The LEGAL DUE PROCESSES AFFECTS EVERYONE IN SINGAPORE!
There is a hierarchy within pap circles too!
For those pap supporters , I hate to say this: There are also hierarchy within your circles. One of these days when there are no more vocal oppositions, there will be conflicts within pap. Remember the NKF vs SPH case? TT Durai, supported by patron Mrs Goh Chok Tong [link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T._T._Durai)] lost , as SPH was higher in the hierarchy!
So unless you are at the top of pap circles, you will be sacrifice too!
So for all those who are pap grassroot leaders who have the upper hand against the common folks will one day be like NKF when they meet someone more senior in pap. A very good example is Andrew Kuan, a pap grassroot leader, being sacrifice when he ran for presidency [link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Kuan)].
Suggested Solution: Change government, vote pap out in 2015/16
At least the author attempts to provide a solution to this ensure there is fairness for the common Singaporeans. It is the most feasible solution. Off course many are concerns about changes and no one like changes, but an article have address the concerns of change [link (http://m.todayonline.com/singapore/how-change-ready-singapore)].
Singapore is the most ready for Change !(shown by above link)
So what are the less than 60.1% waiting for(after the Puggol-East By Elections, percentage of overall pap support have dropped)!
Kick out those pap masters out!
They are supposed to use the law to protect us, not themselves.
