An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
My mother is very frail and have repeatedly asked me to find a good man and settle down.
I have tried very hard but find Singaporean men immature and close-minded, always ranting about football and PAP, as if there is nothing else in this world besides Man United and Lee Hsien Loong.
At the same time, I have to take care of mum and cannot leave the country to find my soul mate.
Today, I received a note from CPF to update my nomination and I naturally put down my mum's name, but she said, "Dear, mum will leave before you. Find a good man quick, leave your money to him and your children instead."
I know I failed as a daughter when I saw my mum cry for me.
