SINGAPORE: There is scope to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) take on more, or larger government projects, said Senior Minister of State for Finance Josephine Teo in Parliament on Friday during the Ministry of Finance’s Committee of Supply debate.

There are many SMEs in SG owned by PRs or PRs + FTsh. These people are not locals or citizens of this country. There are also SMEs wholly owned by locals or true blue citizens, those born in this country.

If this initiative is to help SMEs, it should aim at helping the SMEs 100% owned by local citizens. It is useless and stupid to let SMEs owned by PR and FTsh to benefit as well. They are foreigners and parasites in this country and their money earned from the projects will flow out of SG. Does the Govt wish to support the citizens or to support the foreigners? A clear distinction must be made. Always think of locals first and foreigners last.
