An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:

Getting yelled at, beaten, and even spat on. It's all in a day's work for Mr Victor Kumaran.

The 29-year-old, who is in charge of 36 other officers, has also heard every excuse in the book.

The most common one, he says, is the driver saying he had to answer nature's call.

"But they usually tell me that with the mouth full of food," he says.

A fortnight ago, he was even assaulted with a plank in Chinatown.

He is sanguine about the job that most people love to hate, noting that his employers gave him a chance when no one else would.

He also philosophically says that people simply don't understand that he and his colleagues are just trying to do their jobs.
