PM Lee is doing the right thing. The pioneer generation did indeed contribute greatly to nation building but they have gotten the appropriate rewards for doing so already. This gesture by PM Lee is a further sign of goodwill. In any case, with or without this gesture, it is well known that the pioneer generation support our govt overwhelmingly, with support range from 65% to 70%.
CPF is a separate issue that does not affect the pioneer generation (many of whom already retired). It is the younger generation that are affected by CPF but it is something positive. The CPF Minimum Sum is essential to ensure we have an adequate pension for our old age, and to prevent many people from squandering what they have in Batam.

This PAP Dog Ng Kok Cheong made a posting to praise Pinkie for giving out 1500 ang-paos to senior citizens in TRE and he received a record of 289 'thumb's down' from fellow readers.

I remember you were the PAP Dog who wrote to the Prostitute Times to propose that the National Stadium be named after your half-dead master, the Kempeitai collaborator.
Such an idea would be a big mistake because we don’t know how many innocent & patriotic S’poreans were put to death by the Kempeitai through the betrayal of your master.
You being a PAP sycophant (phor-lumphar), your comments here are not credible at all!
