Stupid statements seem never ending from SMRT:

ZERO TOLERANCE - don't just spout something that you have read from management books. It is out of date, being a phrase from the 1990s during the National Productivity Campaigns. Just ask Minister Vase Jo Teo - she said we must not expect to have everything working from Day One. This blur blob is not aware of course, that she slapped LKY with the statement because LKY said that we pay high salaries because the govt plans and executes well and hence, deserve their high salaries.

FREE BUS RIDES - their responses remind us of the accident touts along the ECP. They bang your car and then offer to tow it to their workshop for repair. The "free" bus rides come with a cost to commuters - wasted time, emotional stress, physical exertion in extricating themselves and so forth. So, free bus rides are NO big deal, understand, boy?

THE CAUSES of the various train stoppages are of no interest to commuters, any more than they want to know the colour of his underwear during the time of the breakdowns. Just keep the damn trains running, get everyone to work on time, and damn the excuses every time it happens. In the latest breakdown, management is blaming the driver who did not follow SOP. The blame lies with inadequate training and immersion of operating procedures. The driver is likely to be suspended with docked pay - what about Desmond? Will he be suspended and his salary docked too?

RESIGN if they feel that they cannot hack the job. And he was supposed to have been hired after a global executive search?
