Hi all,

To my knowledge of sing law, it is legal to engage a person above 18 for monetary intercourse. However, I jus checked online about the legal age t be 21. Is it there is a change in law?

373 is dealing mainly with the issue of a slave owner, brothel owner or pimp hiring persons under 21 to engage in the trade

The 18 year limit is for persons who are in it for themselves, ie if you are 18 and do short time, it's no offence, but if you are 18 and are hired by another to do short time there may be an offence being committed

That being said, it is up to the prosecution to decide which charge to mount and it is not a binding rule that they must use one charge over another
