Finance Ministry issues reminder on GST Voucher sign-up
SINGAPORE: Singaporeans who are eligible for the GST Voucher - Cash and GST Voucher - Medisave but have yet to sign up for it are reminded to do so by 31 December 2013.
In a statement on Monday, the Finance Ministry also said those affected would have received reminder letters from the government from 29 November.
It added that only those who are eligible for GST Voucher - Cash and GST Voucher - Medisave need to sign up to receive the payments.
There is no need to sign up for GST Voucher - U-Save as it is a benefit for the household.
They can sign up either online at the GST Voucher website, or by completing the GST Voucher sign-up form.
Copies of the form can be obtained at community centres, the Community Development Council, and all CPF Service Centres.
The ministry said all forms should reach CPF Board before 31 December 2013.

The statement said as at end-October 2013, the government has disbursed some S$652 million in GST Voucher - Cash, and about S$210 million in GST Voucher - Medisave.
Some 800,000 HDB households would have also automatically received GST Voucher - U-Save payouts, which totalled S$45 million, in October 2013.
These amounts include the GST Voucher Special Payment, which is a one-off extra GST Voucher payment announced during Budget 2013.
The eligibility criteria for GST Voucher - Cash in 2013 are:
- Singapore citizen living in Singapore - aged 21 and above in 2013 - Assessable Income for Year of Assessment 2012 must not exceed S$24,000 - Annual Value of home (as shown in NRIC) as at 31 Dec 2012 must not exceed S$21,000 - Must not own more than one property
The eligibility criteria for GST Voucher - Medisave in 2013 are:
- Singapore citizen living in Singapore - aged 65 and above in 2013 - Annual Value of home (as shown in NRIC) as at 31 Dec 2012 must not exceed S$21,000 - Must not own more than one property - CNA/xq
