Bags, work passes, doctors' stethoscopes -- and now iPhone 5s. Singapore must be one of the world's safest countries if people are using such valuable items to reserve seats.
STOMPer Happily Eating spotted two students who had left their iPhones to stake their claim on this table at an airconditioned food court.
The STOMPer wrote:
"Early this afternoon during lunch-hour, my friends and I went to a popular air-conditioned coffeeshop to have our lunch.
"While we're happily enjoying our lunch, a couple of students rushing from nowhere next to us "chope" seats that were vacant beside our table.
"I'm neither surprised nor here to complain about 'choping' seats as I'm totally cool with it.
"What caught my eye was the item of choice for 'choping' seats.
"Normally, typical items would be umbrellas, a packet of tissue or water bottles. But these students used something different!
"They used, not 1 but 2 iPhone 5s to 'chope' their seats.
"They totally brought 'choping' of seats in coffeeshops to a whole new level!
"This totally stunned me for awhile that students now are so pampered that such expensive smartphones to them are equivalent to packet of tissue, umbrella or water bottles.'
There is another point of view however. Does the fact that Singaporeans are using such valuable items to 'chope' seats show that Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world? Let us know in the comments below.
