Excessive high pay hurts the economy:

If excessive compensation hurts the economy and undermines comoetitiveness, why hasn't Singapore leaders implemented strong measures to curb this. The reason is the PAP and its members are major beneficiaries of excessive compensation. Take our ministers and high ranking civil servants ...SAF officers who often progress to join the pap as ministers ..they are not only excesively paid, they are paid highest in the world which makes no logical market sense.

My point is this ....when a major problem occurs for our country, it is not tackle strongly because ths pap protects its own interest first not just on this overcompensation issue but across many issues. They extract benefits in the form of political and economic power undercutting the ordinary Singaporean. While such high excessive are given to the top, lowly paid ordinary Singapore are forced to take the blame for not being competitive, hardwarking enough and good enough drive the economy. .this is the narrative promoted by the PAP controlled media.

With the Internet, we don't have to be that stupid, foolish and deceived anymore unless we choose to be...all you need to do is think about....how can it be right when leaders paid the highest salaries look at the workers at the bootom who are paid the lowest salaries in the developed world and say that they have to be cheaper, better and faster....it sums up the dysfuctionality in our system. The PAP can never solve such severe problems because it is lock into its own world of comfort, entitlement and benefits.
