$60 per month works out to $15 per weekend. Excluding the 3 month off-season, it is $720 for 9 months, or $20 per weekend. For most folks, they are probably only going to watch their favourite teams, or they only have time to watch one match and that is their favourite team. So that is $20 per match.

StarHub has not announced its pricing yet, but assume that it will be about the same price.

What is the alternative to forking $20 per match? Certainly neighbourhood coffeeshops but they are gonna be crowded. Some pubs and restaurants screen soccer matches. The cost of a meal or drink plus transport (bus, train or petrol and car parking charges) will add up to more than $20 although one can argue that there is good value: food plus drink plus atmosphere.

What are your preferred alternatives to paying $60 per month to SingTel?
