Hi Boss. I use an Apple laptop n I can't get the chat room function going.

I've been using an Apple since 1989 and have never had any problems getting in.

Make sure your Java is up to date.

Thank u, Boss. The chat room screen is blank. There's a red "X" at the top left corner.

Is this before or after updating Java? Have you tried using a different browser?

I suggest you go to  > software update and let your laptop check for new software. There's probably a new version of Java in the list.

Download and install it. All should be well.

Couldn't open "JavaForOSX.pkg". This package type requires Mac OS X 10.5.

The above's the prompt I got after trying to install Java. My Apple is an old model.

You are too many revisions behind time. You need to upgrade OS X.

Java is constantly being updated to deal with security threats and to plug existing vulnerabilities. You need to keep up.
