Cheated in London "Strip Clubs"

Hi bros,

first of all i dunno this is considered a FR (or discussion area) anot but I just wanna share my bad experience in London a couple of weeks back. (blame it on me not reading SBF before going :( )

Anyway it happened in london, so i just post here hor (dont zap me pls)

Background :
Won some bucks in the casino in Picadilly Circus area, so thought of going to have some "foreign fun" around that area. As I wasnt sure about the massage parlours and the prices, I thought i just walk around the area (SOHO) to check things out. I am more of a massage wif happy ending guy, but the massage parlours there seems more like genuine traditional type, so I check out the strip clubs instead.

I saw about 3-4 clubs in that area, but dare not enter (1 asian at 10pm), but finally got into 1 club which wrote "5GBP for strip show".

Went in, it was practically empty expect for me and another indian guy. The dance pole was empty too, and soon a "mamasan" came over and asked me what to drink. I looked at the menu and literally studied it for very long. The reason being, there were alot of "terms and conditions" in it, like to get a drink and watch shows costs XXX and to get a gal to sit and chat costs another XXX. So I asked the mamasan how much for a beer, she said 55GBPs for all charges including freeflow beer and a gal. I was like WTF??? But end up i dont dare to walk out (first time chiong angmoh ground) so guai guai paid loh...

Beer came (taste like water), and still no one on stage yet. Later did i know, after waiting for another 20 mins, music came and the "mamasan" went on stage and started stripping!! I was like, fck... I am in the wrong place liao... kanna chop carrot liao... But paid liao mah, LL watch and drink the water-like beer loh...

After that show, the indian asked the gal (more like auntie) why he came 50 min, only 1 show nia. Another auntie came along and shouted back, "what 50min?? your fcking watch is spoilt!" and then the indian just came over to me and said we were cheated, and he left.

Anyways after that indian left, there were already about 3 groups of ppl inside, all being conned by the "5GBP for strip shows"

Soon 1 groups of 2 ang mohs started kp again, this time they didnt want to pay the price from the menu (i should have done that..) and the same auntie came and shouted again "fck u guys, we also have kids to raise, you arseholes! get the fck out of my place!" They left too.

Another 40 mins past. By now I have watched 3 dances liao (only 4-5min each) and no "gal" sat beside me at all. The dancers were the 3 aunties by the counter. Obviously I was conned and about to leave disappointingly. I finished my last gurp of "beer" and took my jacket. Before i leave i went up to this group of 4 ang mohs and told them that this place is a scam and ask them to leave too. We soon started a conversation and I was asked to join them in their seats. I told them i paid 55GBP incl. the 5GBP at entrance, and they said they paid like 60GBP for 4 of them. I felt lagi worse knn...

They were swedish and came here to celebrate one of them's birthday. As we were chatting, more beers came and another dance went on. I told them this auntie was the first I saw and there were only 3 of them dancing. No lap dances or "sit table" AT ALL.

At about 12am, we were told the club is closing (WTF???) and they chased us out... I spent 60GBP, 1 1/2hr, for 3 fcking aunties dancing (underwear still on de), and i pitied those that came for merely 40 min...

So the 4 swedish and I left, and then i realised, we exited from another "entrance area", which I explored earlier and thought it is ANOTHER club! Wah lau they damn good at cheating ppl's money loh...

The swedish then jio me go another place to hang out, as it was only 12am, so i onz them and continue walking around SOHO. By this time alot of OKT (normally middle aged black guys) were around liao. One of them approached us, and we told him about the "mishap" we had just now, he said strip club are con-jobs, his is the real deal. HC-style with complete sauna, jacuzzi, and FJ from local model-lookalikes for only 150GBP.

But by that time I sian 1/2 liao, and he sounded more con-job than the strip clubs loh... So after discussion with the swedish, we decided to call it a day. Had supper and had a nice chat with them (only console of the day was to befriend them) and then go back hotel PCC...

Morale of the story :
i) Do not go london strip clubs, esp those snizzy ones. Though i saw 1 gentleman's club opposite angus beef steak restaurant, sibei highclass but dare not go in, seems genuine with tall model-ang mohs & bouncers outside. Any senior bros with FRs there? Interested siah.
ii) Do not go foreign playgrounds before checking out SBF, and if possible only try use ctcs from SBF, instead of gei-qeung try things out yourself. Esp first timers like me.
iii) Do not walk around in SOHO area after nightfall (or a certain times, senior bros who frequents there pls advise) It is fcking dangerous with those OKTs with weapons around the area.

Most, if not all of the strip clubs in SOHO are kind of "cheats". Well, I guess you should be thankful that all you got was a lousy deal, rather than being outright cheated with 6 bouncers standing at the door and blocking your exit.

60 pounds doesn't sound that bad eh, compared to other bros being fleeced for a couple of thousands in Thailand or China.:D

Sorry to hear that you got cheated.

When in London, never EVER go to any of the establishments around the Soho area.

If you want to go to a strip club, stick to the reputable ones. These are namely Spearmint Rhino and Stringfellows. The others are just out to con tourists.

Reminded me of a bad experience in Los Angeles strip club too... 20 years ago. It wrote XXX outside the entertainment area. Went in with a buddy of mine. Were told to buy a drink for 20 buck each. 1 hour went by only 1 dancer. Of cos, there are many who pop by asking if you want a private dance, which will cost more.

Later we just left and forget about it. It is better to watch porn on Pay Per View at home than to watch them dance and strip.

Me, a Honkie, an American and we were roomates in an apartment were in Columbus, Ohio, USA and went to a strip bar.

A few Americans were in this joint. We walked in and everyone stared at us. The female service personnel were dressed up as " Playboy " bunnies but were not so beautiful as in the magazine. We sat at the strip table and had our Budweisers.

Me and my American friend laughed out at our roomate's antic of trying to jam a dollar note into her chee bye !.

Well, we did not get cheated in this joint, the drinks were priced okay. But then all the strippers and female service personnels ignored this bunch of stingy fellows. The other strip joints that i went to were in Montreal and in private. So far, never got cheated at all.:)

TS should count himself lucky! The exact same thing happened to me and 3 other friends almost 20 years ago and it cost us GBP80 each. The exchange rate was 1 to 3.5 then! Don't pay? Well the waitress came with 2 burly men and another 4 waiting at the exit!!! Talk about highway robbery!

This compared to the US$20 that I paid in a strip bar in Israel a couple of year later, the one in Israel in was like heavenly, good beer and beautiful models. And US$100 for short time with one of them. I love Israel!!!

Not sure about Stringfellows.

Spearmint Rhino which is an upscale club favoured by bankers and rich businessmen has a cover charge of GBP 25 per person.

Once you get in, drinks are actually quite reasonably priced. You can get a bottle of wine starting at GBP 40 but it goes up to GBP 250 for really good wines.

A private fully nude lap dance costs GBP 20 (which you pay to the girl as tips). So it's reasonable. But some girls will try and get you to go for an "extended" lap dance which lasts for 1 hour and involves some touching (they can touch you but you cannot touch them) with all your friends, this will cost GBP 500 (!!!!)

Some of the girls are skanky but many of them are really gorgeous and friendly students who are just doing this to earn some extra pocket money
