Bros, just wanna share some findings with you guys.
Deleted SMSes are still stored in your iphone. It depends on the versions you are using. How to know if yours are affected.

i) Go to spotlightsearch and type any numbers.

ii) Go to your messages and under search, type any numbers.

Previously deleted SMSes will appear randomly in the list. They have been soft-deleted only so they still exist in the system memory.

How to get rid of them completely? I will try to find a solution to this and share with you guys. Or if there are any who knows how to tackle this problem, pls share as well.

One method for jailbroken iPhone to get rid of deleted messages.
Need to access SSH.
Go to cyberduck.ch and do some readups from there. Need to download cyberduck into your pc if I am not wrong then acess the SSH files in your iPhone to delete the deleted messages.
If need step by step, I will do some reading up and then try to compile them together.

Hi Bros,

I dont know wat version am I using but i have encountered the problem. You just need to go spotlight search and type '9' or '8' and all the pass deleted msgs will pop out.

We can do it at the settings so dont have to jail break. Not to sure if i can disclose the method as some OCs might be reading it. :o

I think the best solution for now is to disable the spotlight search feature.

I read on the web that if we disable the spotlight seach feature, the performance of the iphone would improve. Not sure if this is true.

So if the wife/gf re-clicks messages under spotlight, will the original problem arise?

My advice is not to install facebook. It has a stupid function called Check-In. It's easy for your location to be tracked. Your wife/gf just needs to ask you to 'check in location' to prove you are really where you said you are. Die... recently saw a female friend on facebook who 'checked in at kovan 81'! :p

ThreadStarter,

Bro many many thanks for highlighting this.

With the popularity of iphones and smartphones, I suggest to all bros who cheong actively and are married or have kay poh GFs, to invest in a low-tech, low grade phone and buy a prepaid card.

Let me share and protect all cheongsters here. I am trained in counter-surveillance and one of things I like to highlight to you is that YOU SHOULD NOT OWN an smartphone (BB, Nokia E-models, iphones etc...).

Today Private Eyes (any decent medium reputation PI outfit) knows how to teach your wife to install a 'bot' into your smartphone and then tracks your calls and also getting a complete log of your sms. Don't be stupid to assume you have full control of your phone. "Bots" can be added in with a simple MMS picture sent by your wife and you open it (the bots are hidden and encrypted). When you are showering - she can also load it quickly, when you are sleeping soundly she can still do the same thing. Please la - your COs are just as crafty as us guys. Dont underestimate your CO ok?

My tips to you all without going over too many details (because there may be some PI in the SBF trolling for wayward husbands on assignment from their wives)

If you wanna cheong - just simply buy the lowest GRADE phone ever you can find (in fact go the 2nd hand mobile phone market and get the oldest 2G mobile model you can find) and buy a prepaid card.

Older 2G mobile phones - why? cos NO ONE writes the programs to have bots to penetrate into them and 2G phones cannot handle MMS.

I cant tell you more on the many other tips and tricks as it will only help to educate the PIs trolling on this SBF site.

So good luck !

I agree with what Bro Maxpee88 said. To cheong, just buy a cheap 2nd hand 2G phone with a prepaid card. Like that no more worries. Just up u 7 pts Bro Maxpee88

I know it sound stupid, but don't know if you guys are like me carrying 3 mobile phones, first phone which is a tablet is strictly for biz use and surfing the net (inculding Sbf), second phone Nokia E series for family use and lastly a real cheap Nokia phone w/o camera for cheonging use. It is completely worn out and the back casing is being held together with scotch tape. Last phone is always left in my office drawer and never bring home.

I also encountered many bros who are show off, they like to bring the latest phone to impress the girls which I think it is very dangerous to do so. FB and other girls don't know that I have two other phones for commuication, they always say why I so cheapskate and old fashion using such a old phone. In fact one of them actually offered to buy a new one for me.

There is a way to delete the search cache IF ONLY using a jailbroken phone. I just tried it and it works...

Using your SHH, go to

/private/var/mobile/Library/Spotlight/

Delete the 2 folders Folders:
com.apple.MobileSMS
com.apple.SpotlightTopHits

As technology in mobile phones progresses rapidly, I always follow 2 rules:

1. never use what the masses use (in this case, its iPhone)
2. NEVER NEVER use what wifey uses.. (still iPHONE)

for me, i use Android. And when wifey says she needs a new phone, i strongly encourage her to buy Nokia with SYMBIAN (which is offically dead by now) or quickly go buy her one, so with that she will be in the dark for another year.

The moment u use exactly what ur wifey uses, then she knows all the keys to press and tricks and u have no where to hide.

I understand there are 2 sides to everything. One side will say more wives and girlfriends will know about this after I started posting this and start checking up on their partners. But those guys who have read this up will take precaution. The % of guys reading this thread and taking precautions will definitely be higher than the % of girls reading this thread and checking up on their partners. Either way, pls don't flame my kind intentions. In fact after more reading up, this bug is nothing new. It has been around for quite some time already. I mean no harm. Chill.... :o

Bro NatureGreen and all the SBF Cheongsters .

I had my PM mailbox chockafull of PMs from many bros who sent me requests to teach them a thing or 2 on counter-surveillance techniques. Before I forget my manners and place in this SBF, let me first thank the Bros who upped me for my contributions (ya.. you know who you are..) and second, let me be very humble to say that I am not an expert. It is just that I worked for a well known hardware Defense Contractor in the US and had the fortunate experience to take 'Security Classes and being taught in Counter-Surveillance Tactics (CST) as part of the compulsory employee training curriculum.

I want to apologize upfront now for the many bros whose requests I have turned down to teach them and share more on some of the very effective CST techniques. Please understand that I AM doing this to protect the majority of the SBF bros here, because some of the PMs I get, I cannot be too sure if they are AV or Private Investigators (PIs) who are trolling the SBF sites. If I share too much, then these fellas will have the one-up on you if you are the subject of a PI who is trailing you because your Wife paid them to do so. OK you understand? So I humbly ask all of you again to understand my reason for declining to share further.

And yes, as did some bros who had discovered and contacted me, I do hold private /exclusive one-on-one classes for selected individuals. But these people do 'pay a high price' for what they need to know to protect their discretions. I am not being picky or a shameless bastard trying to market my services here - so please don't flame me. As for my records, my clients have been few and are usually from Indonesia who have their GFs and shadow wives here in Singapore. My clients get specialised and practical training and in 2 incidents, I was called up at 1130pm on one Thursday nite because one of my clients was being tailed and I drove there to 'extricate' him out without being seen and set about his alibis.

This thread done by threadstarter is a very good piece and actually have a few good tips already. And I will return the favor to SBF in all my years here as a fellow bro and cheongsters here. What I WILL DO is that I will share on phone security for all of you cheongsters especially on (smartphone categories - like Iphone) and that will at least help put you on a 'better level' of SA (situational awareness) in covering your tracks.

So in the next few days please look out for this contribution in this section.

Thanks to all Bros for upping me and for your support and friendship and encouragement.

setting>general>sportlight search>just touch the items you dont want turning up on your search and you are done.

also if u kp fl pix in ur phone, ur wife/gf can know where the pix was taken. once u upload it other prople surfing your pix can tell too where is was taken as ur gprs will tag every pix taken. to turn it off:-

setting>location service>slide off on your camera and its done.

Now thanks to a new Cydia app called Untrackerd, you can easily prevent your jailbroken iPhone from tracking down all the bits and saving it to a secretly hidden database file.
Available for free on Cydia under BigBoss repository, simply search for Untrackerd on Cydia and install it to prevent your iPhone from tracking your location.

Refer to this site for more info: http://www.redmondpie.com/untrackerd-prevent-iphone-location-tracking-cydia-jailbreak-only/

There is no permanent solution as long as you insist on owning and operating a smartphone (not necessary iphone..other smartphones are just as susceptible)

I've done some research and the file name is consolidated.db but i dunno where the hell to find it in the phone and i cant find the location of the backup file in my computer zzzz.

This thing can be quite useful IMO.

Chill.... :o

Do not think too much about it, just remember that there are "ALWAYS 2 sides to a coin".

Some will appreciate it and some will just condemn it, nevertheless your intentions are well received....:p

Any bros have any idea if there is any Iphone tracker software that really works? There are many apps that are just for fun and showing your own phone's locations. What about those that allow you want to track others' Iphones?

Hi Bro, how to get hold of the 'Bot'.. For iPhone 4 & 3G

Peridot62

QUOTE=maxpee88;5800048]ThreadStarter,

So good luck ![/QUOTE]

Bump up this thread

Updated to latest IOS5 and did a test run. Seems Apple fixed the Spotlight soft delete issue. Tested and deleted sms did not appear.

Bros, please update and try!

Cheers!!

It's not the iphone problem...... its the problem with every phone...... even the old gsm / 2G phones can give your location away.
