There are rumors that they wanted GL to be rebuilt, and they are sweeping down from Lorong 1 to the end, bit by bit, they clean up. Also heard that they are eyeing the land there for redevelopment. This rumor has been on going for years... But I guess they are serious this round.

The vice related activities are to be shifted to kranji or some ulu ulu place....

Last night after I finished my work, i went to town to pick up my FB and we drove to 81 Princess and as we were driving through noticed the street was deserted, couldnt see any street walkers around. At that time was around 830pm iirc.

Even my FB commented how come no hookers walking around? Normally as we drove through the lorongs she would be excitedly commenting on the street hookers haha. This time round nothing for her to comment.

After we finished about 10pm we went for supper together and also didnt notice any street walkers when we drove out.

I guess it must be the upcoming elections. I noticed when ever there are major events in Sillypore, the streets in Geylang would be totally wiped clean of street walkers. Just like when F1, the visitation of US President and MAS meeting etc, the AV raids was non stop.

Just sharing my 2 cents.

seems like police van park behind the shell station all the time and with officers on patrol taking particulars of passer-by, no wonder no girls on the street.

nowadays see a lot of coaches bringing tour groups to geylang hotels. govt want to divert all to casino instead without the distractions of the streetwalkers in geylang.

Passing through also need to take particulars ? They take at random or target specific groups eg prc, femals ? Walked past the other day did not see one, maybe it's the gambling tables they try to suppress.

if you take short cut short by alley where van is park, seems like they do 100% check. they will take your particulars and check against their database to see if you are on their wanted list. also seen them doing random check on the streets.

Maybe? The authority wish to clamp down overstayers, this is the place to get them. Like the saying, same birds love to flock together, even they know it is not safe to hang around.

Btw, my baber told me, his Ah Tiong assistant MIA after CNY, probably he run road. People just do not behave, come here work hard and don't try to go against the authority.

10 yrs only, earn enough then return home like king and queen. Like this also cannot wait, WTF!

Finally I modify fr Gladiators the movie, People just do not know, they cannot win over the authority.

Actually, if you read about the development plans for the area around Paya Lebar Mrt, geylang is really going to be Prime land. With a East-West line and Circle Line near Geylang and so many expressways (ECP, KPE, PIE, CTE) nearby, redevelopment Geylang makes a lot of sense. The only issue is where do we shift the sleaze to then? Wherever it's shifted to, the residents won't be happy. Maybe we can shift the sleaze to an area not close to any current residential area. Like Fort Road area opp Tanjong Rhu, where the golf course is now...

There are many things we cannot changed, 1 such i think is RLD, i do not actually feel proud. No sir madam, i don't but, assume GL is torn down after 20 years.

It is going to give rise to many issues, molest and rape would b the first to return with high %. Confuse and angry from horny busters, it is just not possible to take it away, if is possible? It will be wipe out from the face of the earth.

Tone down ops, yes! That is possible with closed door concept, indoor customers and WLs, no problems including women politicians also could accept this.

All top people of the world would say this behind closed door, if i could do it i will. But it is just not possible to stop it.

SG society is undergoing a change to a more clean wholesome society. As a member of SG society you should be part of this change toward the great society we all desire.

Personally so long RLD is situated within the coast line, it is acceptable no point to take a ferry to say, X'mas island or somewhere. Indo have Batam and Bintan, which is not our problems, they knew what they are doing.

If i remember correct, about 5yrs ago a senator said something liked this on news. Don't remember who, could b the sport senator? That was b4 he took up the current post, he was taking about Joo Chiat happening.

He said he knows the happening, the complaints fr people who stayed there plus his 3 legs people. I mean his helpers, they will ensure the vice remain indoors. He don't welcome streetwalkers, he is not chasing the girls away. Infact he wanted them to return, so long it is tone down and closed door.

No disturb to common folks, no complaints from anybody, he might closed an eye. Not 2eyes, no this counrty cannot allow this.

I cannot recalled was that period b4 the voting? U guys will remember, JC areas FLs issue, appear at the last voting. This yr probably same, lets wait and see what they wish to bring up.

Talking about Yin & Yang, RLDs closed door while, pte "rich people" housings practice open door concepts.

Have a good weekend.

Please think of those who stay bedok, tampines, seng kang. Haha.. quite far for them leh. Just now i suggested Fort Road area. The carpark there now is already a red-light district for gays already mah. Another location will be POTONG PASIR. Why? Well, if the place is run by opposition, the pappies can sabo the residents there mah. Just look at how big the Bididari Cemetery is? Near PIE,KPE, Braddell Road, North East Line and Circle Line (Whitley)...

If you operate pushcarts there, I'm sure the NS boys on night missions will pop by to buy an ice-cream or an iced-cold canned drinks too.
