Just purchased this Star IPTV USB stick from Sim Lim Square, hoping it would replace the starhub cable tv and mio tv subscription.

I believe that adults channels are available but I found these channels are password protected.

Anyone know the password to unlock the adults channels ? Please share with me. Thanks.

yo bro, default password if not wrong is 1234.
I have one as well but the channels cannot watch de.
for example: american porn even after u key in password, they bring u to porn site.
jap porn i try day night evening midnight all cannot always loading or ready only.
DO a check on the MOVIES section they have porn ready for you to select and it's base on streaming de not live de.
BTW just wanna check with you, your STAR IPTV support window 7?

It's like a thumb drive. U still need a PC/notebook to watch movies. My colleague bought 1 for S$125.00. I borrow from him and wanted to clone it but cannot due to hardware in it.

Actually can use software to clone the thumbdrive as ISO image. Then save this ISO image into pc/laptop. Use virtual drive to mount the ISO image, run from there. Now you don't need your thumbdrive, just keep it safely somewhere . Problem is you cant share with your friend, becos only 1 copy can connect to their server at any time.

I had a 25Mb connection so I did not experience any lag watching any movies.

This problem also happen with my friend thumbdrive after he bought, probably some bugs during installation , registry or authentic key problem. Plug his thumbdrive to pc, cant display, use mine on same pc, can display. I told him to 1-1 exchange with the shop at simlim, problem solved !:D

How is the screen resolution like?
If it is about the same as TVU, might as well use TVU.

this really isnt any different from watching internet tv.
i believe the thumbdrive contains an identification token and you basically connect to a server, and watch whatever contents there are on it.

dont understand why pay that amount for such rights when there are so many free internet tv softwares out there etc veetle, sopcast

besides it still depends on your internet connection, if you have a crappy connection, its still useless.

its better to just invest in a high speed connection and watch everything for free and quickly.

cant wait for 2gig connections :D

oh and as i am writing this post, i just finished watching the movie wall street at http://wwitv.com with veetle on a 100 mbs connection, connected to a lcd tv.

so my advice is to save the $$$, $150 can get you 2 shots and 90 mins at the current FL going rate :D

the difference is there are other content like drama series from HKG, China, USA, Taiwan, Korea etc. and certain cable channels for sports, travel etc. plus adult channel (if i managed to get my working :( )
