Just come back from HCM yesterday evening. Been to Hanoi before, find that the traffic is just as bad here in HCM.

Stay at Liberty 3 Hotel. There is a massage palour and a disco named Windy at the ground floor. There is a fast food KFC 100m nearby too.

Overall, food are fananstic and cheap. Girls are pretty. I find the vietnamese like to party n enjoy drinking a lot.

Overall, it is a eye opener to be in HCM, just that the air and noise pollution are too much to bear. Ain't I glad when touch down back to Singapore!!

For those who haven't been to HCM, give it a try. It will be a great experience than the usual place like BKK or HDY.

Any bros who's planning to station in HCM can note that if you stay in a normal town house, be prepared to exprience power failure often. 3. Click on the disclaimer - "I understand the Disclaimer & wish to proceed (this is to cover their ass)
4. Select "Vietnam" at the drop down option menu

This is my first time to HCM, so could not provide u a reference between the 2 dates.....one advice for the transportation between the airport to the city centre at Ben Thanh Market and Pham Ngu Lao, you can try this airport bus no. 152 for only 2000 dong only (one way). Good if you stay near the area....

If you can trust the taxi drivers, you can trust anyone on the streets of vietnam. If you want cheap gals, why not go to the BARS along Hai Ba Trung Street. You will get a bonk ( i really mean basic bonk) with hopelessly looking lady for less than US$100 (including bar fine) :D

My experience is few, but from what my staff report. Basic coffee join have girls services coffee. Cost about 10K (less than 1Sing$), they sit with you (but not fit like KTV), talk but absolutely not naught naught thing. Most of my current staff learn their Vietnamese from them. Once they know you well and comfortable with you (visit 5 to 6 time), you can pot that question to ask them to not work and you pay for them. They generally earn around 600k (65 Sing$) per month, so if you offer 100US (1.6M) per month. Most will accept it.

Bui thi Xuan street in D1 is a nice place. Has been my playground since i arrived in HCM some years back. Besides the computer stores, there's also a big rice store that serves nice and cheap food, famous beef steak 5 mins away etc. Lots of local hotels there and if want something better, try empress hotel (3 stars) :D

A two bed room, kitchen cum dining area, hall and bathroom is going at USD38,000.00. It seem this area is only six months old and still a lot of apartment coming up. On whether can foreigners own property in vietnam I am not sure. Maybe when they are in WTO things might change.

Quite cozy and quiet and should be quite a good buy. One of the girl working in Boss owns one unit there, so once in awhile will visit her in her apartment and she will cook nice vietnamese dishes and after that.......:p

The Owner is VINACONEX but no name for the apartment, if you tell the taxi driver Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh they will know, is along end of Lang Ha Road (Fortuna Hotel) towards south. No facilities only shopping at the other building nearby, but I did not venture too far from the clusters of building.

If its directly opposit An Dong Plaza, then it should be the local hotel after the restaruant `DA JIA LE' . The street is called `Tran Phu Street' (if i didn't spell it wrongly).
