I am entrusted to organise a 3d/2n bachelor party for my soon to get married buddy. 6-10 of us in the group, intend to stay in seaside resort type. I have only been there once and stay at Nagoya Formosa and book from Sedona Country.

I have browse through the thread here, but cannot put together a complete picture regarding such hotel/resort. :(

I have also visited hotel booking website s like asiatravel, asiaroom, holidaycity.com. But, only can get info on Holiday Inn and Harris resort!! Frustrated liao, can't find any that near batam centre where we from JB will arrive. :confused:

So, samster here like DNAT, Meatlover, JT, can help me pls?! Tolong lah...!


Since it's for the soon to get married guy's party, maybe I can help you. I got a local Chinese friend, well educated, can speak English and Chinese. If you want I can link you up with him. He's working for some event organizing company and should have a lot of lobang. The only thing is, it may cost quite a bit here, but then again you are talking about SPECIAL arranged party right?

Pls don't ask me how much and things like that cos I really don't know. So if you want, just let me know and I'll help link you up with the guy. I'm only helping you to get things done here, and him for having some extra income.

For a group of 6-10, assuming you need to source 10 ceweks, may have to be specially arrange so as not to disappoint everyone. But be prepared to pay a PREMIUM!

Balai got no resort type. Maybe you could try Bintan?

The best lodging which suits you/your group's preference of seaside resort would be Turi Beach Resort. But there are 2 disadvantages:
1) The resort is more than 15 years hence I duno if its still there :D or if its run-down.
2) The resort is about 30 minutes drive from Nagoya, if any cewek 'pattern more than badminton', then you gotta spend another 1 hour+ & Rp100K (cab fare) to xchange.

Another alternative is Batam View Resort, but then the beach is almost 100 metres away off the cliff where the resort is situated.

What you paid is considered a very good price .. normal rate is Rp220-280K. Rp350K is a bit high if you are referring to joint (fish tank) ceweks.

Of course they are KTVs gals which their booking fees are set are Rp300K / Rp400K / Rp500K (apui ... Nite Club Bovo leh? :D )

For FLs, the standard rate is Rp300K. You may bring it down to Rp250K if you wish but of course some pretty ones would ask for Rp400K on crowded Sat nites. I even came across one SYT in Pacific who asked for Rp750K. (Montbank, give you expensive stuff you also dun want ... hahaha)


Don't want to end up with those cheap but lousy service...

Almost all KTVs are good for hanging out to have few drinks n boobs...
My choices would be Titanic, Formosa, Sphinx, Pacific, Planet.
Actually if you guys are going for striptease shows, you could get them in Sphinx, Pacific and Planet, inside the privacy of your KTV room.
This way you may not need a guide liao?;)

If you really NEED to stay in Harris instead of in town (Nagoya), then no choice lah.
Ok, during the afternoon there are some pubs in those shop houses (next to ferry terminal) which you can go have few beers.
You can also go to a pub just beside your hotel, it's call Monkey Bar, but I don't like this place cos I don't like the owner there (sei pei haulian type).

There's a KTV, with GRO (few of them quite swee) over in Holiday Inn Hotel. They open around 4-5pm.
If you ask me if those GRO can be booked out anot? I'm not sure cos most of the time when I'm there, I was shooting Pool in the Piano Bar next to this KTV, but can see all the GROs going in and out.

Food, there's a very nice Chinese restaurant, also in Holiday Inn. Dragon Inn, good food and they served best in Batam Tim Sum during lunch time. A bit pricy but worth it!!!

How to get from Harris to shop houses and Holiday Inn? If I'm not mistaken, Harris provides free shuttle services within Water Front City area.

But if you are talking about having a CB for the night or ST, I would strongly advise you to go to town to do that.

No place in Batam is boring if you know your way around, have fun... ;)

The biggest I've been to can fit minimum 40-50pax, got own dance floor, private bar counter with bartender and few waiting staff stand by inside your KTV, and also own DJ console, can request for a DJ just for your own private party to play "your" kind of music. A dinning area with round dinning table for 10, 1 bed room with king size bed and attached shower room with jets shower, those type where you just need to press the button and stand still and jets from all angles will spray water at you. Lastly and most importantly, got private exit door, that is if you don't wish to use the main entrance of the club. Beri Nice you know...:cool:

Went to check it out after reading various mentions here on this thread last Friday night.

Total about 30 - 40 customers inside at 11pm so I would say it is not pulling in the crowd.

Two bands were playing there and the DJ was like very low key.

My impression,

1) if this is franchised from Singapore Zouk, the the franchise owner must be sleeping because it was almost an "anti - zouk" kind of ambiance and decor. In fact, I would say the decor is very "Ah Beng".

2) Club Concept - although I have not been to Zouk Singapore for a long time, I know for a fact that Zouk is the leading "dance club" in this part of the world because the focus is "dance music" with the DJs taking centre stage. Never remember that bands were the focus in Zouk Singapore so somewhere , the concept of the dance club was "lost".

3) The Singapore band was OK, not great and played a mixed selection of all kinds of music from retro to raggae to R & B so again, no concept direction.

Overall, I'd say that the place is decorated like a huge pub rather than a dance club and overall, too bright too.

4) The only women I saw were a couple of badly dressed GROS or were they PROs whose clothes were more like night club style rather than fashionable dance club wear, again very anti-Zouk.

The only really good thing I liked was that the drinks were on discount - that's all. But, if I want cheap drinks, I can drink at home.

Get yourself the book "Making out in Indonesian" by Turtle Pubishing / Periplus and keep it with you when you are in Indonesia. When you are with the cewek and you need to talk to her, go to the relevant section and point to the Indonesian section to tell her what you want to say and try to say it yourself too. After a while, you will have enough vocabulary to have a great time!

I do this with Thai , Vietnamese and Tagalog versions with hilarious and happy outcomes.

U will need a lao jiao to guide u there. Cost is cheap (ard 60 Sing) but u must know which ktv has the best gals and also being able to speak bahasa.
Be prepared to spend a bit more to bring the gals for makan and disco, but defintely cheaper than SG.

Try to get vouchers from the right side, after the immigration. You can't miss it. It is directly opposite the duty free shop. Be sure to take a taxi registered at the counter. It may be more expensive, but could get yourself free from trouble. Outside taxis can be very expensive and dangerous, if they want to chop you.

I saw something Puri Garden Hotel in this thread. I had stay there many times. For the info., they had increase their room rate from SG$45 to SG$55. They had bathtub but room is smaller than Formusa Hotel. Last time Formusa room rate is SG$53 but not sure how is it now. I will check it in next visit. By the way, Puri Garden is abit far from Queen, about 10mins to 15mins by Taxi.

Only the fish and the scallop passable. The worst are the prawns, live ones somemore, and yet so tasteless and BM keep asking me is there anything wrong with his tastebud. To make things worst, pay money also need to walk to the counter ourselves, jit dua du servit buttons but no current running. :rolleyes: . I think Oki or A1 chin chai jit tua zhi cha also better than there in terms of taste and servit.

We went around 2.30pm, place still got other customers eating. It's all about time and staff (cooks) management to make place consistent with their quality. If people go there eat for 1st time and kena that type of quality then you think will they ever want to go back there to eat again?
