Argghhhh! Just wanna share my pain of losing 500GB of porn which I collected over the pass one year! :eek:
Plucked in my 500GB HDD and was not detected by Vista and off the power and when I on it again, the whole HDD was corrupted and could not be read by any computer anymore!

I quitted bonking for good last year and has been relying very heavily on porn in my 500GB HDD to release my urge but now, even that it gone... :(

Now really have to resort to imagination to release my urge.

Easier said than done man, bro. This 500GB collection of mine is really painstakenly downloaded using BT over the past one year. There are almost all in compressed rmvb format. Some are PURCHASED on porn websites.

I am really in a very lousy mood now. :(
Fellow porn addicts will understand how I feel.
I really dun wanna 重出江湖 and go back to bonking FLs again.

i cannot help with other post but i can give u some recommendations.
If your harddisk cannot be detected, you can try to find a friend who has similar disk, then just swap the PCB on the disk over. It must be exact same model and revision model.

Next time, you should consider using RAID 0 for your precious data.
I recommend you to get 2pcs of Hitachi or Western Digital 500GB disk, run it in RAID 0.
Don't get Seagate as I have seen my friends send in for RMA within a year.

HDD still detected is ok, still got chance to recover with file recovery softwares.

eg. File Scavenger, Ontrack Data recovery professional or Recuva.

TS, you have my condolences. data recovery is a real option but as many other bros advised, it wouldn't be very wise because it's illegal content we're talking about after all. nonetheless, do keep the HDD around as it might be possible to recover your data through more discreet means in the future, whether in the lion city or aboard. might have to wait a while though.

Hardware fault. Not recoverable using software.
So I will just have to let it go.

Will just start my collection from zero again.
Now Seagate FreeAgent Desk 1TeraByte storage just cost $159 and packaged everything swee swee for you.
Might consider getting that.

This software actually would recover almost everything. Read carefully.
Once I've recovered about 20GB of data (HDD Size last time). It even recovers raw data. Anyhow, since you have 500 GB. Purchase the software from them. :D

Well, from what I know... as long as you can hear/feel the HDD spin, you can recover the data :D. Just pray that TS can get his data back... then he can 'share' with all of us... then we stop cheonging like him. :)
