There is an ongoing thread for raids on KTV, shouldn't we have a similar thread on HC & TN so that bros here can know something before rushing down ?

For a start, I shall contribute what I know below. Bros, please feel free to add to the list. Maybe after a while, we know the pattern of AV :)

From what I heard from some brothers, AV seem like to strike on Tues & Thurs during office hours. Is it true ? Heard that they do not strike on HC/TN on Fri, Sat & Sun or after working hours as they need to concentrate on KTV at night.

I cannot believe this - Parklane mall @ selegie becomes yet another breeding ground for sexual massage parlours.

There are quite a few joints at basement, level 2, level 3 and level 5 etc. Each of these massage parlours provide sex services under the false front of beauty spa

Yesterday, police raided the joint at level 5 - shop name is "Beauty Spa", #05-12 and all the ladies were taken away. To our surprise, this joint still open for business today as if nothing has happened !!!

And yes, they still provide sex services and solicit on any man who walk passby.

The police raid was ineffective as when they raided on #05-12, all the other joints at basement, level 2, level 3 received the tip off and they immediately closed the shop to avoid being caught.

I just wonder what we should do to contain such vice activities at shopping mall. This is another case such as Fortune Centre.

Despite massive tip-offs, Straits Times reporting in Dec 2008, the same sexual massage parlours still operate at level 2, level 3 and level 4 at Fortune Centre. At Fortune Centre, one unit at level 4 was constantly raided and all they do is just changed their name from little red bean to little grape and because of that, they can still operate their sexual massage parlour ?

I cannot believe on this !!!!

If anyone wants to operate sexual massage parlours, brothels, they should operate it in Geylang and other red-light districts.

It's illegal to operate them in normal shopping centres and all under the name "Beauty Saloon" or "Spa"

Can Authority please do something ?

That's what my friends told me as well. Mainly on Tues & Thurs for HCs & TNs

And usually during office hours around 2-5pm.

So far the raids on Selegie happened on the above time period - Tues & Thurs and occurred around 4-5pm.

So maybe this is AV pattern ?

This raids happened only after the tenants/public complains or the newspaper carries the story. When the place is "hot" or "popular" it's highly possible the AV will conduct raids on it too.

Was mucking around Fortune Centre this afternoon, lunchtime. Saw a bunch of people (four men and a lady) crowding near the foot of the escalator, directly opp Hana.

From the way they were dressed, in polo, jeans and track shoes, I had a strong hunch they were anti-vice officers. I started maundering around, anticipating some kind of action, but I guess they were there on a recee as well. Saw that one of the ladies in Hana was looking pensive and kan chiong.

For once, I felt good watching the watchmen. ;) Looks like an imminent raid is about to happen.

Dun understand wat is the big hu-ha abt local casinos opening & wat has it got to do with steping up anti-vice activities in KTV, HC, TN, prostitution, etc....., Las Vegas (Western) & Macau (Eastern) hv plenty of casinos n everything is still there, life still goes on for everybody and there are also tons n tons of tourists visiting these places. There is a chinese saying... ''eating, drinking, prositution & gambling'' , these oldest trades are always togather n there is no way u are able to remove either 1 of them even if it is in the 30th century.;)

A few health centres and massage parlours have paid look-outs sitting in a strategic place where the AV Police will surely bypass on their way to the massage parlours. The 'sentries' will phone advance warnings to the massage parlours. Other massage parlour bosses pay insiders in the AV to give them advance warnings of raids. This came out in a few Court cases. Looks like they're not working.

Nxt time I visit one of these places, I'll suggest to them dat they should phone other massage parlours in the shopping centres when the first one is busted by the AV Police. I hope u suggest this to any massage parlour u visit. But I don't think it's possible for them to phone another massage parlour when an AV bust is going on. Even the AV also corrupted. I notice in the same building, that some joints are never checked or raided, while some always kena. Very suspicious. One of my regular gal in a joint in the shopping centre in the city told me that one of the AV is a regular cheongster. They always have advance party to reccee the place before the main party comes. Hence, when the gal see his face, they know action is on the way. If he is not on advance party, then too bad.

And the gals told me that the inability of the AV to clarify the new licensing procedures made many gals go for the wrong certification. The notice of the regulation is given within a very short notice period. This made many gals frantic and desperate to get whatever stupid certs required.

Many thought and were misled that WSQ is sufficient and went to go for WSQ examination, later to realise that they need to go for what stupid ITEC or else must get 4 WSQ certs. The 4 WSQ certs comes in different forms of package, like some buffet spread. The schools earn really big bucks from the miscommunication and the new regulation.

I was told that many schools open new batch of classes almost every week!!!
